The First Tribrid (Book 1)

Friday night bite

Y/n POV

I woke up with a gasp as I shot up from where I was laying and looked around the unfamiliar room. But then I realized I was in the Salvatore boardinghouse, I touch my neck where someone snapped it. I heard a knock at the door and when I looked up I see Damon there with a blood bag in his hands. "You're finally up." Damon said. "What the hell did you do to me you asshole!!" I yelled. "Don't worry, I made you better." Damon said. "I didn't need to be better. I already had a dormant vampire side and you just activated it!" I yelled. Damon looked confused as to what I just told him. "What do you mean you had a dormant vampire side?" Damon asked. "My dad was not only a werewolf but he was also a vampire, that makes him a hybrid. And now that you've activated my vampire side I'm now a full tribrid." I explained.

"Well you must be hungry so here." Damon said as he threw the blood bag towards me, I caught and opened the blood bag once I sniffed the blood I could feel my face change and I started to drink it all. When I was done I put the bag in the garbage can and looked back at Damon. "Why did you want me to activate my vampire side, Damon?" I asked. "Because I was bored and wanted a cool best friend that was a tribrid." Damon said. "Could've just asked me." I said. "Noted. Anyways you have school so you can leave." Damon said. "But what about the sun? Won't I burn?" I asked. "Your mom actually said that since you are now a full tribrid you don't need a daylight ring. She knew what I was gonna do and told me not to hurt you or else she'll make sure I actually burn in the sun without the daylight ring, so I'm following that cause honestly she scares me." Damon said. "Sounds like mom." I said.

I left the boardinghouse and went home my mom invited me in the house. I got dressed into different clothes and got my backpack and went to my car and drove to school. I parked my car where I usually park everyday. I met up with Elena and Bonnie by Bonnie's car and started to walk towards the school. "I'm not saying don't date the guy. I'm just saying take it slow." Bonnie said. "You were the one who said to go for it." Elena pointed out. "Now I'm saying take it slow." Bonnie said. "Why the about-face?" Elena asked. "It's not an about-face. You're single for the first time in your entire high school career. It's the perfect time to play the field." Bonnie said. "Oh, because I'm so that girl. Seriously, what are you not saying?" Elena asked Bonnie. "It's stupid." Bonnie said.

Elena grabbed Bonnie's arm as we stopped walking. "Spit it out." Elena said. "I accidentally touched Stefan and got a really bad feeling." Bonnie said."is that it?" Elena asked. Bonnie tried to walk away but Elena grabbed her arm before she got the chance to leave. "Bonnie." Elena said. "It was bad bad!" Bonnie explained. "Is this the whole witch mojo thing again?" Elena asked. "You know what, I'm just concerned. This is me expressing concern about my best friend's new boyfriend." Bonnie said. Elena put both of her hands on Bonnie's shoulders. "And I love you for it, I do. But I feel good. It's been a hard year, and I'm starting to kind of feel like things are getting back to normal again. And you know what, Stefan is a big part of that." Elena said making me smile at how happy she sounded.

We were all walking when Stefan came up to us. "Good morning, Elena. Good morning Bonnie and y/n." Stefan said to us. "Hey, um, I gotta find Caroline. She's not answering her phone. So I'll catch you guys later." Bonnie said and left. Elena tries to stop her but Bonnie kept on walking away. Stefan looks at us. "She doesn't like me very much." Stefan said. "She doesn't know you. She's my best friend, she's just looking out for me." Elena said. "But when she does, she will love you." I finished for Elena. I then left after that and went to Matt and Tyler and immediately started to throw a football around but Tyler didn't want to throw the ball so it was just me and Matt. "There's Elena and her new boyfriend. What are they doing?" Tyler said while I threw the football at Matt.

"Oh, they're walking, walking, walking. Yep. Right into the sunset." Tyler said to Matt who catch the football I threw at him. "You're a dick." Matt said as he threw the football towards me. "While you just stand there looking like one of those little yard trolls." Tyler said. "Gnome's." I corrected him. "Here's what we're going to do. Are you free tonight?" Elena asked Stefan. They both stopped walking. "Yes." Stefan said. "Perfect. Dinner, my house. 8:00. You, me, Bonnie and y/n." Elena said while looking at me, then looked back at Stefan."you guys will spend some quality time and Bonnie will get to see what a great guy you are. Mission accomplished." Elena said. I threw the ball a little hard to Matt but luckily he caught it. "And what am I supposed to do, Ty? She made her choice." Matt said as he threw the ball back to me.
