''T-that-- i-is so gross'' ''Dasis!'' ''Right!'' Nyx black nails drug into the bed shirts pushing ''Oh my that is a head!'' Nyx's face was paling ''Dasis pull the damn baby out'' Dasis shoved her hands into the bloody mess, pulling the baby out. It was blue and unmoving
''Nyx I think--'' ''Below into its mouth'' Nyx hissed pushing out the afterbirth easier than the baby itself. Dasis below in, the babies chest rising eyes opening screaming of the newborn following ''Shh shh'' Nyx wrapped the boy up with the cleanest rag she could find
''It's a boy'' Nyx coded the baby giggling lightly ''What you want to name it? You're the one to birth it, so Dasis?'' Dasis looked down thinking of her brother ''My brother died at childbirth... We planned to call him Finn. So if it's alright with you, can that be his name?''
Nyx hummed kissing Finn's bloody face ''Finn it is. Here hold him'' Nyx passed him over, leaving the room ''Hey?!'' Dasis followed hushing the baby when it started to cry. Nyx turned around sharply ''Shh Finn'' Finn knowing his mother's face already, went silent
The dwarves rolled over trying to block the women out as they put water in a bowl ''Unwap him and wash him'' Dasis smiled to herself washing the baby off. Nyx after washing her legs off put her pants back on
''Shouldn't you be resting Nyx? Woman after birth shouldn't be standing'' Nyx scoffed placing Finn in clothes, she found a day before. Dasis smiled when Finn and Gael snuggled up together in Nyx's warm bed ''I'm fine... Stay here, I need to see someone'' ''But- Hey! Nyx about Finn?'' Dasis tried to catch up but she was gone
''Leave your new bone alone. What a good mom'' Dasis pulled Nyx's bed closer to her own, resting her arm on the baby's body. In the morning all three of them were fast asleep, Nyx nowhere to be found
''Dasis'' Bofur hummed into her ear waking her. He climbs into her bed, resting his head on her chest to find Finn clawing at them ''Dasis! Is that a baby'' Dasis jumped awake holding Finn and Gael tightly ''Where did you find a kid?'' Dasis sighed heavily
''Nyx'' Was all she said, as Bofur took up the new boy ''I see it. Those cold eyes. I didn't know she was pregnant. Enyo was. But thinking back, she was sluggish somedays'' Dasis with Gael on her hip pulled out the leftover food, ready to cook breakfast
''Where is Nyx?'' ''Gone somewhere. Left me with Finn and Gael last night after he was born'' Bofur woke the others up with Finn in his arms. Questions flag to Dasis about it being her's but she told them it was Nyx's. Soon they were throwing Finn and Gael around like sags of flower, singing a light song to cheer the children
''I'm back'' Nyx called rubbing circles into her skull ''Where have you been? You left me with them all night and now they're hungry. Oin said they have to have milk before they stave'' Rolling her eyes she picked up Finn and Gael
''Hey, boys'' Finn smashed his forehead into her chest, sniffing out the milk ''Greedy...'' Gael was confused sniffing her chest with a small little nose. Nyx covered her chest. Pulling her beat out of the top, and placed her nipple into his mouth. Gael knowing she was not his mother, still, eat. Sitting down the dwarves gave her looks to her absence ''I was talking with Finn's father. Stubborn fellow'' Nyx pour her bowl full of food
''Finn is a big boy, was the birth easy'' Oin asked with the pip in his ear ''Dovahkiin babies are born fairy large, depending. But they also grow quickly, Finn was much smaller last night. But yes easy birth. Like Gael for example how small was he Bofur when you first saw him'' Bofur nodded ''Every small, but now look at him! Big and strong''
