Heather Miller's POV:
Last week, I was in my favourite class, Physical Education, when my teacher, Coach Hedge, came into the gym. He was my favourite teacher as he makes us do fun activities during PE and makes weird nicknames for us. I know he means well, of course. Just then, I recognised two monsters that I identified as two hydras. I was frozen in shock. You might be wondering: Heather, how did you know they were hydras if you didn't know you were a half-blood yet? Well, in English class, we were learning about greek mythology- a more fun way to learn English! Anyway, back to the story Just then, Coach Hedge kicked off his shoes, revealing- you'll never guess- hooves! He took out a baseball bat and started smacking the hydras, shouting: "You're no match for me, wimps! Get lost!" I slowly backed away from the scene. My brain had become mush. What was happening?
Coach Hedge shouted back at me. "Hey, cupcake. Run to the school courtyard and wait there for me. I'll explain everything then." I nodded and ran for my life- literally. I was afraid for the coach. What if he didn't make it out... alive?
Soon, the coach arrived at the courtyard. I breathed a sigh of relief. "Cupcake I-" suddenly, three jet black pegasi landed on the ground beside us. One had a rider- a girl with curly blonde hair and a dagger in her hand. "Hey. Get on, I'm taking you to camp."
The next few hours were a blur. Coach and the girl explained to me that I was a half-blood, and that I was being taken to Camp Half-Blood. After we arrived, I got claimed surprisingly fast. My mother was Tyche, goddess of fortune. Over the next few days, I became friends with the seven and Nico. They welcomed me and told me all about their adventures. I got closer to everyone at camp over the week.
Camp is super awesome, except for when you get a swirly from the Ares cabin.
