"What's the holdup? All right, we rescued Nik, we escaped mortal danger why are we not on a private jet to Saint-Tropez?" Kol asked the group,when no one answered his question he walked up to Elijah and snatched the newspaper out of his hand. "You can catch up on the last five years when we're on our way-- I can assure you haven't missed much."
"Circumstances have changed we will leave here soon enough." Elijah says as he sits up straighter.
"We have our niece's to consider." Rebekah shoots Kol a look.
"Kol has a point." Freya stood up from her seat and moved to lean on the railing beside Rebekah. "We need to put an ocean between us and Marcel Gerard as soon as possible."
Klaus decided to join the argument "We're not going anywhere today. I want one day of peace with my daughter and my niece,before we uproot them."
"Any delay is a risk." Freya said simply.
Klaus finally snaps, "One day. We're in the middle of nowhere, the house is cloaked. We weren't followed, and i'm not asking!" Just then,Hayley walked out of the house with Hope and Evelyn by her side. Both girls were holding onto one of Hayley's hands as they looked to the group. The group turned and looked at the little girls.
"Everybody,look who's awake." Hayley said with a soft smile. The group stood infront of the three and looked at the girls,Klaus and Elijah walking infront of their little girls.
"Hello." Hope said shyly.
"Hello." Klaus said back,awkwardly. Evelyn let out a small snort at their behavior making Hope nudge her playfully.
Hope turned to look at Hayley and asked, "Mom,can I go play in the garden?"
"Yeah,sure." Hayley replied. Hope ran off leaving Evelyn standing there,slightly awkwardly before she turned her gaze to Hayley. "Can I go down to the tree house?"
"Of course,sweetheart. Why don't you take your father with you,you know I don't like you going out there alone." Hayley answered,nodding her head over to Elijah. Evelyn nodding with a sigh before walking over to her father and taking his hand before running off.

Evelyn held her fathers hand as she walked through the forest,making her way to the tree house. Evelyn seemed to hesitate for a moment before speaking, "Aunt Hayley told me you like to read."
"I do,very much." Elijah nodded,wondering if his daughter shared the same love for literature he did.
"What's your favorite book?" Evelyn asked her father curiously,striking up a conversation with ease and feeling comfortable in her father's presence,despite the fact that technically she barely knew him.
"Pride and Prejudice." Elijah answered,then it went quiet again as they reached the treehouse and Evelyn began climbing up.
Having finally reached the top,Evelyn stuck her head over the side and shouted down to her father, "Are you coming or what?"
Elijah chuckled before vamp-speeding into the treehouse,watching as Evelyn pulled out a bag filled with several books and sorted through them to pick out one.
Evelyn hesitated for a short moment before speaking, "Would you like to read with me?" She asked him,Elijah nodding after a moment as Evelyn passes a book over to him before she climbed into his lap and layed her head against his chest.
Elijah looked down at her after a while,only for a soft smile to make its way onto his face as he realized she had fallen asleep. Only the smile immediately fell and he frowned in worry when he realized how cold she felt,wrapping her in his jacket before picking her up to take her back inside.

Klaus sat in a chair infront of the roaring fire as he looked at the drawing Hope and Evelyn had made. There was one that kept reappearing and it was the serpent one,he looked at it in confusion before turning around when he heard a soft voice call out to him. "Dad?" Hope called out,Klaus turning only to see both girls were still in their night gowns. He stood and looked at the two girls in confusion.
"We think there's something wrong." Evelyn said softly,she looked pale alongside Hope. Klaus looked at the two girls worriedly as he bent down infront of them.
"We had a dream about a bad man. He was hurting these kids and I think he hurt me, too." Hope said,making Klaus even more worried than before.
"I feel dizzy,and my head hurts." Evelyn said,Hope nodding in agreement from beside her showing she felt the same way.
"Elijah,Hayley!" Klaus called out,Both Hayley and Elijah rushing into the room and kneeling beside Klaus. Blood began dripping from Evelyn and Hope's noses as they squeezed their eyes shut.
"Mom,we're so cold." Hope told her mom,Hayley pulling her in for a hug as Elijah did the same with Evelyn.
