It is the morning,and Hayley and Jackson are in the middle of getting the rest of their belongings from the werewolf encampment to load them into Jackson's truck to bring them to their apartment.
"I still say we should take my dartboard." Jackson says.
"Something's are best left behind Jack,and besides,I already let you take your bow and arrow. Not exactly sure who you're gonna hunt in the French Quarter tho."
"Hipsters." Jackson smiled,making Hayley release a brief chuckle before Jackson is abruptly shot in the neck with a wolfsbane dart and groans in pain. He falls to his knees,dropping the box in his hands onto the ground,pulling the dart out as Hayley rushes over to him.
"Jack!" She cries.
In the woods nearby,a man aims his tranquilizer gun at the angry Marshall and shoots,but she turns and catches the dart mid-air before throwing it on the ground and walking towards them.
"You gonna hide in the woods,or are you gonna come out here and fight?!"
Aya vamp-speeds behind Hayley and stabs her in the shoulder with another wolfsbane dart,which causes her to groan in pain.
"Gladly." Aya sneered.
Hayley turns as her hybrid eyes come out and backhands Aya hard in the face.
Jackson pulls the dart out of his neck as his eyes glow yellow with a growl,running towards the other Strix vamps and beginning to help Hayley fight them.
"Hayley!" The vampires begin to overpower Jackson and inject him with more wolfsbane as Aya backhands Hayley into a table.
Hayley gets distracted and shouts for her husband. "Jack!"
The brief distraction allows Aya to grab Hayley in a choke-hold,giving the sniper in the woods a chance to shoot her with two more wolfsbane darts in the back of the leg,Aya shoving her to ground as she passes out. ___________________________________
Hayley wakes,covered in blood in bruises,only to find that she and Jackson have been chained up in the back of what appears to be an abandoned auto shop.
They're sitting in chairs with their wrists shackled,and behind them are IV bags filled with clear fluid.
Hayley immediately begins to try to break through her restraints to save them,but Jackson,who awakened before she did and whose face is beaten even worse then hers,weakly tries to stop her.
"I tried that. I tried that. The more you struggle,the more wolfsbane gets pumped into your veins." Hayley turns and realizes that their shackles are hooked up to IV lines inserted into their veins,and that the IV bags behind them are full of wolfsbane laced water.
When she looks down at the floor,she sees that Jackson's pant leg is stained red with blood,along with a huge puddle of it surrounding his foot on the floor.
"Jack,your leg." She whispered "Are you okay?"
"Yeah,they worked me over pretty good. With all the..the wolfsbane in my system,I ain't healing so well."
"Just breathe. When we get a chance to fight,be ready." Jackson gives her a look of sadness as she continues to try and break free of her chains,despite the increasing amount of wolfsbane being infused into her body. "Hayley,listen to me I don't know if I'm gonna get that chance-."
"Stop." Hayley interrupts him "We are gonna get out of here,Jack."
"I love you,Okay? I've...I've always loved you." Jackson says to her instead.
"Don't." Hayley shook her head.
"When I first saw you,I broke." Jackson cries "You broke me,and nothing has ever been the same since. I just want you to know that it was all real. Every 𝘮𝘰𝘮𝘦𝘯𝘵,every 𝘵𝘰𝘶𝘤𝘩,every 𝘸𝘰𝘳𝘥."
Hayley looks devastated by the pure defeat in Jackson's voice as Tristan enters the room.
"How absolutely darling! Or pathetic. I suppose it's all relative." Hayley glares at Tristan with nothing but pure hatred,once again trying to break out of her restraints as he begins to walk towards them.
"You let us out of here,or so help me,I will kill you!" Hayley chains rattle as she glares hatefully at the man.
"Somehow,I doubt it. I've been pondering this moment since you tortured me-." Hayley tries even harder to break out of her chains as Tristan moves around her to stand next to Jackson.
"What's the best way to truly hurt a hybrid? And then it came to me." Tristan grabs Jackson by his hair and yanks his head back,plunging his hand into Jackson's chest,which caused the male werewolf to groan in pain as the Marshall-Kenner screams at the top of her lungs.
Tristan rips out Jackson's heart,killing him,as the Hybrid becomes hysterical with anger and grief,desperately trying to break out her chains to kill the ancient vampire.
"No!No!Ah!Ah!" She cried in devastation.
Tristan backs away from the werewolf as the hybrid continues to scream hysterically. ___________________________________
Elijah and Vincent have just entered the courtyard of the compound,where they find a horrified Freya holding a letter in one hand as she stares down at a cream colored box on the table as Elijah realizes something is wrong,rushes over to his sister.
Elijah looks concerned "Freya? What's happening?"
"Some compelled tourist. He left this." Freya takes a deep breathe before nodding at the box on the table. Elijah,both concerned and suspicious,lifts the corner of the lid to the box while Vincent watches from behind. When Elijah sees a bloody heart inside,he immediately shuts the lid and takes a deep breath to prepare himself for what he's about to learn.
"Who?" He asks.
"Jackson." A teary eyed Freya answers immediately.
Elijah takes a deep breathe,overwhelmed by the news he just learned as Freya holds up the letter in her hand.
"Courtesy of the Strix."
Freya sighs and sits down on the couch as Elijah takes the letter and begins reading "𝙳𝚎𝚊𝚛𝚎𝚜𝚝 𝙵𝚛𝚒𝚎𝚗𝚍𝚜,𝚙𝚕𝚎𝚊𝚜𝚎 𝚏𝚒𝚗𝚍 𝚎𝚗𝚌𝚕𝚘𝚜𝚎𝚍 𝚝𝚑𝚎 𝚑𝚎𝚊𝚛𝚝 𝚘𝚏 𝙹𝚊𝚌𝚔𝚜𝚘𝚗. 𝙷𝚊𝚢𝚕𝚎𝚢'𝚜 𝚠𝚒𝚕𝚕 𝚏𝚘𝚕𝚕𝚘𝚠 𝚞𝚗𝚕𝚎𝚜𝚜 𝚢𝚘𝚞 𝚖𝚎𝚎𝚝 𝚖𝚎 𝚊𝚝 𝙲𝚘𝚕𝚝𝚛𝚊𝚗𝚎'𝚜 𝚊𝚞𝚝𝚘𝚜𝚑𝚘𝚙,𝟷𝟸𝟼𝟾 𝙰𝚍𝚍𝚎𝚛𝚕𝚢 𝚒𝚗 𝚝𝚑𝚎 𝚗𝚒𝚗𝚝𝚑. 𝙺𝚒𝚗𝚍 𝚁𝚎𝚐𝚊𝚛𝚍𝚜,𝚃𝚛𝚒𝚜𝚝𝚊𝚗."
"So,unless we meet their demands,Hayley will be next." Elijah speaks. ___________________________________ Hey guys,I just wanted to apologize if my writing has been a little off and the chapters are getting shorter. I'm finding it hard figuring out which Season 3 scenes to write and which ones to include Evelyn in. I'm also just trying to get through Act 2 so I can get to Act 3 and 4. I just wanted to clarify that:))
