We stared at each other then started rushing back home. Whatever was happening sounded pretty serious. When we got back I caught my breath before using a shaky hand to open the door. I could hear Karl's heavy breathing behind me as I walked into the dark living room. Seconds later the light flicked on and everyone jumped out screaming "happy birthday luna" I chuckled slightly and then I felt arms on my back pushing me to the sofa. "Open your presents"
I was more relaxed knowing that nothing was extremely wrong like they made it sound but that was fine now.
Time skip
It had been a few weeks and everyone had gone home and me and Karl where chilling trying to search for a new house because we were bored.

"I like the last one the best it looks cosy and not crowded or overwhelming" I said smiling
"The last one is cute but I do prefer the third one cause it looks big enough so we can have the others round whenever we want and the area looks really quiet"
We eventually came to a conclusion of the second one but kept the last one in our minds in case the mother one was already in escrow.
We called up the sellers and we're able to put in an offer it was accepted and we were able to sign the papers between two days. However we couldn't move in for two weeks which was fine this way we could pick fully and sort ourselves out with routes to the warehouse.
Later that night I was lying in bed when Karl threw himself onto the bed at the end sighing loudly. I laughed at his dramatic entrance then asked "what's up babe" he sighed loudly again. I chuckled and turned off my phone opening my arms for him to come and cuddle with me.
