Body switch (HuaLian)

Xie Lian didn't know whether to laugh or cry when he woke up in not his own, but his husbands body. He thinks he might know what caused this too.

Last night, the couple went on a walk. There was a pretty blue flower patch that flowed under the moon. It seemed to stretch through the field. And because of Xie Lians horrible luck, he tripped and fell into the flowers.

His husband then went into the flowers as well to help him get up. Which is probably why they are in this situation right now. Xie Lian knows it is the strangest thing to wake up and see yourself beside you. Xie Lian sits up in the bed and nudges his husband awake.

"San Lang? San Lang? I think we have a problem." Xie Lian begins. Hua Cheng wakes up and his eyes widen when he sees himself. "We switched bodies," Xie Lian informs.

"What? How?" San Lang questions, getting up and looking at himself in the mirror, realizing he is in Xie Lians body.

"I think it was the glowing flower from yesterday." Xie Lian answers. Hua Cheng furrows his eyebrow. Now, he might look upset but he is secretly excited about being in his Gege's body.

"Do we know how to fix it?" Hua Cheng asks.

"I think it wears off on its own. I just don't know how long." Xie Lian responds, tapping his chin. "Oh! That reminds me, I have to go to a meeting in the heavenly capital today. I think you're going to have to go for me in my place." Xie Lian informs, Hua Cheng freezes. Hua Cheng didn't want to spend any time with the trash heavenly officials.

"Gege..." Hua Cheng whines, he knows that if Gege asks it he will do it, but it doesn't mean he would like doing it.

"The meeting is something I can't miss, I could go as Sang Lang but I don't know if they'll give me the chance to explain myself before they kick me out. They don't like it when you're on the heavenly capital." Xie Lian explains, an apologetic look on his face. Hua Cheng thinks it's weird to see such an expression on his face.

"I will, do you mind watching over the gamblers den while I'm gone?" Hua Cheng gives in. Xie Lian smiles.

"I don't mind at all, I will see you when you get back." Xie Lian smiles and kisses Hua Cheng. It was odd getting kissed by yourself, but Hua Cheng didn't mind since he knew it was Xie Lian.

Later, at the heavenly capital...

Hua Cheng arrived and had his usual resting bitch face on. He knows he should probably try to act like Xie Lian so no one asks questions, but he can't help but me upset around the worthless trash. He doesn't know why someone as amazing as his Gege even bothers with them.

"Your highness!" Hua Cheng hears someone call from behind him. It's Pei Ming, who starts walking beside him. Pei Ming being around only sours Hua Cheng's mood further.

"What," Hua Cheng deadpanned. It came out sounding very rude, good. Pei Ming seemed taken aback by the tone of his voice but continued.

"How have you and your husband been lately?" He asks.

"Good," Hua Cheng answered, trying to end the conversation.

"That's good." Pei Ming chirped, a silence passed over them for a minute as they walked before Pei Ming spoke up again. "Are you sure you are alright your highness? You haven't been acting like yourself." Pei Ming questions. Hua Cheng wonders if it was that obvious. Hua Cheng just nods instead of answering.

They get to the meeting area, where Hua Cheng sees Feng Xin and Mu Qing. The two are glaring at each other. There isn't an official heavenly emperor yet, so the officials talk amongst themselves until the meeting starts.

"Thank you for coming here today-," Feng Xin starts but then Hua Cheng tunes him out. Feng Xins voice is like nails on a chalk board to Hua Cheng.

Hua Cheng fantasizes about burning down all of heaven, except for the palace of XianLe. Even though Hua Cheng knows Gege rarely spends anytime at the palace. Normally Gege spends time at Paradise manor or at Puqi shrine.

"Your highness! Your highness!" Mu Qing calls out, snapping Hua Cheng out of his thoughts.

"What?" Hua Cheng snapped, glaring at Mu Qing. Mu Qing looked taken aback but continued.

"We're you even listening?" Mu Qing sighed.

"No," Hua Cheng answered, Mu Qing looked frustrated.

"Well, there was a report of a water ghost by a town. It's been terrorizing the towns people for months, so we were hoping you could-," Mu Qing began but was cut off.

"Leave them be, survival of the fittest." Hua Cheng cut in, rolling his eyes.

"Your highness!" Mu Qing gasped. Hua Cheng isn't even trying to act like Xie Lian at this point.

"I think that crimson rain has been a bad influence on you!" Feng Xin scolded. Hua Cheng gave an amused smile at this.

"I just think his highness isn't feeling well," Pei Ming said. Hua Cheng was done with heaven for the day, so he just walked out of the meeting room. Mu Qing, Feng Xin, and Pei Ming followed after him.

"What has gotten into you today your highness?!" Feng Xin asked.

"Nothing," Hua Cheng murmured, rolling his eyes.

"Obviously something you're not acting yourself." Mu Qing argued. Hua Cheng was annoyed with their voices.

Hua Cheng then turned around, flipped them off, and jumped back down to go see his Gege. They tried getting to him through private communication so he shut it off. It was night when he got there and his Gege was in their bed chambers.

"San Lang, you're back! How was the meeting?" Xie Lian smiled.

"It wasn't that important, just trash running their mouths the whole time." Hua Cheng answered.

"Sang Lang be nice," Xie Lian scolded. They then got went and lied down in the bed, about to go to sleep.

"I almost forgot to ask you Gege, how was your day?" Hua Cheng inquired.

"Oh, I tried gambling and lost a bunch. Sorry San Lang." Xie Lian mumbled, sounding very apologetic.

"It's alright Gege, how much money?" Hua Cheng smiled.

"Um, a hundred million..." Xie Lian murmured.

"What-,"

The next morning...

Xie Lian woke up and turned to see Hua Cheng. They were in their own bodies now. It must have had a 24 hour effect. Xie Lian switched on his private communications array and was immediately bombarded with people talking to him.

"Your highness are you okay?"

"Your highness how could you have acted so rude?"

"Sorry, I was in an accident yesterday and switched bodies with San Lang. That's why I may have been acting a bit differently." Xie Lian explained into the array. Xie Lian was very confused.

"That explains a lot," Mu Qing murmurs.

"Why? What happened?" Xie Lian questions. It was then he got to hear the story of Hua Cheng's day in the heavenly capitol.
