It's not super long but hey i kind of got my shit together

also let's just pretend i wrote this before christmas and not on new year's eve and day

anyways

There is a wall in the girls dorm in between Paisley and Mary's bed. Floor to ceiling blank.

Blank for the first year, and blank for the first couple months of Everly's and Paisley's first year.

That is until Paisley got a Polaroid camera for Christmas first year. She took it everywhere, catching every embarrassing moment she could. In the middle of games in the middle of practice, and even in the middle of potions when someone added one ingredient too many and it blew up in Everlys face.

Every Polaroid being charmed to move in Paisley's photo club and then earning its ritcious place on the wall. Slowly filling up the blankness with embarrassment. Everyone had at least two photos on the wall by the end of first year with more and more added throughout the others.

Each of the boys have their fair share, each trying to sneak in and take them off the wall. It never worked. They either got caught or couldn't figure out a counter to Everly's spell keeping the pictures on the wall.

More and more pictures were being added to the wall over Christmas break. All of the girls spending it at the Potters manor cramped into Everly's bedroom on the second floor. Mrs. Potter offered each of them their own guest room but they all refused.

Regulus and Sirius weren't as fortunate this year as they were last. The Blacks decided to stay home for Christmas this year so the brothers had to stay home as well.

Remus couldn't join them either. The full moon fell a little too close for comfort to Christmas day and he wouldn't let everyone stay with him at the castle.

With James and Peter being vastly outnumbered, the girls didn't have to deal with any pranks this break. Unless pulled by Everly for a good photo opp for Paisley.

Regulus and Everly were back to their old ways of communicating. Through letters addressed with nicknames sent in the night as to not tip off his mother. The girls would always erupt in a fit of giggles whenever a letter addressed to "My Darling" would arrive by owl at breakfast. The boys, still unaware they the two were dating, would always be confused and berate them until they got bored of the fake answers they would provide. Marlene went so far as to say the letters were being sent from Dumbledore and that the two were deeply in love. Everly was so shocked she laughed for 5 minutes straight, as did the rest of them.

Everly and Regulus were able to buy each other's presents during their last Hogsmeade trip before break.

Necklaces. Connected necklaces to be more specific. The charms can send messages through pulses back and forth between wearers. They also glow colors to mean different things. When one wearer's necklace glows red, it means the other is in danger.

The break, despite missing half of their friends, was very pleasant. Until one letter.

Dear E,

My mother has caught on to us. I don't think it's safe to send anymore letters. She noticed my necklace and said that I wouldn't wear that unless a girl made me. Then she brought up the letters. Her exact words were "So who is the Darling of Slytherin tower?" And then she asked if she was pure and her family was one of the "Sacred 27" . I don't know what to do. I can hold off her questions for a little while but I'm not sure how well it will work. My darling please do not worry if the letters stop, it is for both of our safety's.
