Last night Xavier and I stayed in the forest until 3:30 am.
We didn't speak to each other.
We were both silent.
It was as if we were both in different worlds, thinking about things, but with each others company. It wasn't awkward or anything, I guess it was kinda peaceful.
Taking out my phone from my pocket I glanced at the time and it read 3:30 am.
"It's pretty late." I've never stayed out this late in the forest before. But I guess when you're lost in your thoughts, time seems to fly by.
"I suppose it is." Xavier calmly responded.
"I should get going." Reaching for my phone, I turned on the flashlight and flashed the path ahead to help guide me home. Xavier didn't move a single muscle as I got up and began to walk away.
Just mere seconds later I heard his voice call out. " Goodbye Anonymous."
That night I thought about Xavier.
Wondering if I would ever see him again. I didn't even know what he properly looked like since the moonlight wasn't enough for me to make out his face. What if I never do see him again..
But in the meantime, putting my thoughts of Xavier away, I had to survive through the day. I had to put my fake smile on and pretend I was happy.
