"You know you could've mentioned that you were here instead of speaking up out of no where, almost giving me a heart attack!" gasping, I closed my eyes trying to calm down. " You scared me you jerk.""How did I scare you?" he asked. "Yet you aren't scared of being out in a forest all alone?"
"You just caught me off guard." Which is true, I guess I blanked out whilst looking at the sky.
"Right." He mumbled. Xavier began shuffling around and soon I heard the click of his lighter.
"You shouldn't smoke so much." I sighed, closing my eyes. "It's bad for you."
"It can't possibly hurt me anymore than I already am."
Slowly opening my eyes, I drifted my eyes until they were on Xavier. I watched the way he rested his elbows on his knees as he stared at the sky. He looked lost in thought, and in that moment I realized that we were both teenagers with messed up lives, just wanting to escape the world.
