As soon as we got home 15 minutes later, Mom, Michael, and I sat on the couch. "Ok, Carly, tell me. What happened? I thought Michael died," Mom questioned. "He did die," I replied.
"Oh? Then how is he still here?" she asked. "He was a doll that turned to life," I explained. Mom shook her head. "I don't believe you," she said.
"It's true!" I exclaimed, "I even have proof." I handed her the spell book from my bag. "The Spell Book of the Living Dead?" Mom asked. "It turns the dead to life," I explained.
"So you used this book to turn Michael to life?" she asked. "It was supposed to turn Matthew to life," I explained, "but instead, it somehow turned Michael to life." I went upstairs, and I came back with the doll box. I then handed Mom the box. "Here's the box. Do you see the doll?" I asked.
"No, I don't see it, but that doesn't mean-" Mom interrupted herself when she finally took a glance at Michael, and then at the box, and then at Michael again. "Oh," she said, defeated. "See? Now do you believe me?" I asked.
"I do now," she answered. "Good," I said, "The spell reversing book starts going on sale in February. That's 11 months from now, so that means Michael has to stay human until then." "Ok," Mom said, "So what exactly happened earlier?"
"These boys from school were just insulting me and making fun of me because I love Michael," I explained. "So they talk crap about him?" Mom asked. "Yeah, and they called me ugly," I answered. "You just have to ignore them, no matter how mean they are," she said. "Ok," I said, "C'mon, Michael."
"Ok," Michael said. We both went to my room and laid on the bed. "I can't believe my mom found out!" I said in frustration. "Don't worry. It's okay if two people you know found out," Michael reassured.
"I know, but what if everyone I know finds out?" I asked, "They might tell everyone they know, and that's bad because if that happens, then that's the end of you. People and the media will follow you everywhere." "Oh yeah," said Michael. A few minutes later, we heard a knock at the door.
"If that's your mom, tell her I'm about to change," Michael said. "Why?" I asked. "Because I'm about to change," he said. I laughed and said, "Ok. Who is it?"
"It's me," Mom answered, "Can I come in?" "Not yet," I replied. "Why not?" she asked. "Because Michael is changing," I answered.
"Why don't you get out then?" Mom questioned. "It's my room," I said. "No, I bet it's because you want to see him naked," she said, "Is that true?" I blushed and said in defense, "No, it's not true!"
"Mmmmmhmmmm... I see. That's okay. I know you have a little crush on him anyways," Mom teased. Michael started laughing. I turned around, and I saw that Michael had nothing but his pants on.
"Michael, you have no shirt on," I said. "Yeah, I'm sorry," Michael apologized, "It got pretty hot in here." "Oh, it's alright," I said, trying not to blush. "Carly, stop flirting with Michael," Mom said playfully, "You're only 16."
"Mom, I wasn't flirting with him!" I said defensively. "Whatever. Just come to me if you need anything," she said and finally went downstairs. Michael laid down on my bed. "So, what do you wanna do?" Michael asked.
"I don't know. Maybe watch TV?" I offered. "Ok, sure," he replied. I laid down on the bed, and we watched Spongebob on the TV.
