I'm Akira Hashihito. I'm just a teenage who is trying his best to survive in this cold world. Most of my life was a nightmare that I didn't even dream of but it started to change on a certain snow filled cloudy morning. I stepped outside from my house heading towards school. It was a wonderful view. The world looked like it was inside the snow. The only thing that was visible is snow on houses, cars and trees. It was peaceful yet painful.

I arrived at my school entrance while admiring the view. I went to my class and reached for my seat. Looking outside the window, I felt lucky to have the corner seat. The view was so beautiful yet has no life in it. While lost in my thoughts, snow started to fall like a slow rain of white feathers. Soon the school entrance flooded with students and school staff members. I was watching all of them and wondering how everyone has someone beside them all the time and they be smiling with them, chilling with them, crying with them, sharing both their happiness and sadness. And here, I am all alone watching them. I wonder how it feels to be happy.

In this constant flow of thoughts, a long beautiful silver hair of someone walking past the gates caught my attention. I've never seen such a beautiful hair. I was too far to see her face but she was quite tall, probably a little taller than me. I guess she must be in a higher grade than I am. The corridor filled with all the students chattering disturbing my concentration on her. I lost the sight of her for a moment and she was gone. I wondered if I could ever see her again.

Gradually, all the seats in the class started to fill except mine. I've been used to getting ignored by everyone and I couldn't care less about it.

In a way, I was happy about it but having at least one person would feel good. My homeroom teacher entered our class and everyone became silent for a moment and at once everyone broke the silence. That grabbed my eye to the class, to see what was the commotion about and the first thing that caught my eye was the silver hair of the person standing next to the teacher.

"Everyone, she is Mina, the new transfer student. Now, I'll let her introduce herself." She started introducing herself and all I could think about the feeling I was having just by seeing her. She had a cute face with glowing skin and eyes as dark as the clouds on a rainy day.

One look and anyone would fall for her. "She's so cute and looks so innocent I wonder if I could ever get close to her......" "what the...there's no way that I could get close to her, she's in a league of her own. I'm just day dreaming with these thoughts" I thought to myself. But I desperately wished that I could get close to you.

The teacher offered her to sit anywhere she wanted in the class. The seat beside me was empty since no one wanted to sit beside me and I wanted her to be the one who fills that seat.

For every step she took I felt as if I was watching a crime scene being unfold. I was too excited and anyone could see it on my face. Staring into her eyes, I lost my sense on the surroundings. Our eyes meet and my heart rate sky rocketed. She stopped for a second at another empty seat in the next row and hold the chair. Just that gesture made my heart heavy.

In a single second I despised myself more than ever. I'm such a loser, no one would every care about me. what was I even expecting? All these thoughts flooded my mind in an instant. I was so close to breaking down, tears filled my eyes and didn't know that such a small thing could hurt someone so much and I never knew I was this emotional. Standing near the empty chair in the next row she looked right into my eyes and the look in her eyes said it all. She knew I was desperately wanting her to sit next to me.

She pushed the chair aside and walking towards me she looked at me teasing smile. She reached for the seat next to me and asked me, "Can I sit here?" I answered her by simply nodding my head. Lost with words, that was the best I could do.
