Opening my eyes, I saw Mina staring at me. I panicked and woke up from the bed. I grunted my teeth as it hurts in my stomach. Mina stood from her chair and came to me saying, "Don't wake up so hastily. Your wounds didn't heal completely. Just take it easy."

"Where am I?" I asked while looking at my surroundings.

"In my room."

"What?" "Why am I here in your room?" after saying this, I remembered what happened. I became sad. "I'm sorry that you got hurt because of me."

"Look at yourself before you say I was hurt. You were beaten to pulp." Mina said and remained silent for few moments and spoke, "I was really scared...in fact I was never this scared in my life. I still can't get over how scary you were."

"What do you mean that I was scary?" I asked as I couldn't exactly remember what happened after Mina got hurt.

"Don't you remember?" Mina asked.

"I'm sorry but my memory is all foggy after you got hurt."

Mina sighed and explained what happened. I felt bad for what I did and said, "I'm sorry that I scared you."

"...Even though it was frightening, you were badass." She said with a smile.

"..." "...is it ok for me to stay in your room?" I asked awkwardly.

"It's fine. No one's home."

"I mean if your father knows he might get furious for bringing a guy into your room."

"Don't worry. He's not going to know and even if he knows he doesn't care."

"What do you mean?"

"It's nothing." "How are your wounds?"

"It stings a little but it's alright." "I think I should get going now. Thanks for everything."

"Oh...so you're leaving." She said with a low voice. "Well then, I will ask Miss Lara to take you home."

"Thanks, but I can go by myself."

"Don't be such an idiot. Your wounds aren't completely healed and it's already dark outside. Your mom would be angry if you came any late. I'll ask Miss Lara to drop you home fast."

I did need to go fast so I couldn't refuse her offer. "Thank you, Mina."

While calling Miss Lara, "You don't have to thank me."

Miss Lara dropped me at my home quite fast. I stepped out of the car and thanked her. I was pretty sure that my mom would be furious at me. I was all prepared to get yelled at. I opened the door and said, "I'm home."

"I'm in the kitchen, kid. Come here." My mom shouted.

I went to the kitchen and was expecting a scolding for coming late but to my surprise she was not angry at all rather she was smiling and wasn't looking at me. So, I asked her, "What happened?"

"Ah...what do you mean?"

"I mean I came late but you didn't get angry and you are smiling about something."

"Oh that. I'm just glad that my kid has a girlfriend and he is hanging out..." and then she turned over to me and saw my face. "What the hell happened to your face? Did you get into a fight?"

"...kind of" "...and Mina is not my girlfriend."

"Was it for Mina?"

"Kind of"

"My kids' become a man. Getting into fights for his love. I'm so proud of you kid" "... anyway come over I'll treat your wounds." She said while looking happy.

I was pretty surprised to see her so calm and soft. I went to her forgetting that I already got my wounds treated.

"I couldn't notice from that far but you already got your wounds treated by someone." My mom said. "Is it your love that treated your wounds?"

"Yes...no no..." "Mina treated the wounds but she is not my girlfriend. So, stop saying all weird things."

"But you look happy when I say those weird things."

I was out of words so I hit her with the magic words. "I'M HUNGRY."

Moms just forget everything when their kid says that they are hungry, they just go and make something to feed their child.

"Well then, come. I'll make something for you to eat." And it worked.

I sat on the chair and my mom served me some food and asked, "so what happened today?"

I told her how the fight started but I made sure that she didn't think that I was being bullied at school. I told her what happened till Mina got hit and told her that somehow, I won the fight.

I did not tell her the full details of what exactly happened. I didn't want her to worry about something being wrong with me.

After I told her what happened the look on her face said it all 'my ears are not deceiving me, are they?' that's what she was thinking. After that I told her that Mina took me to her room for treating my wounds. My mom, "You went to a girl's room. That too, to your love's room. Oh, I'm so happy. So, what did you guys do?"

"You are my mom, aren't you?"

"Yes I am. Why do you ask?"

"You are more interested in what happened in the room than me getting hurt and are you sure that you should be asking this kind of things to your son."

"He...he...he..."

I sighed and said, "I passed out. So basically, I didn't even know that I was in her room." I can see the expression in my mom's face and can say that she must be thinking about something creepy. I know that my mother isn't relatable to other mothers. She's just like this.

"I can say for sure that the things you are thinking did not happen. So, stop being so creepy. We are just kids and what are you even thinking?"

"You say kids but you can understand what I'm thinking...hmm...I'm pretty sure that something would have happened."

"I said nothing happened."

"How can you be so sure? You said that you were asleep. What if she did do something to you while you were asleep."

"Mina is not the kind of girl that you think she is and stop with all this. Let me eat peacefully."

"Ok...ok...ok...I will not say anything, no need to get mad." She turned over and whispered, "They are not yet married and he is already taking her side. I wonder if he will even remember me after they get married."

"I heard that." I said with a disgusting expression on my face.

She just laughed nervously and left the room.

I ate my food and went back to my room. I lied down on my bed and started to think of what might have really happened. My stomach hurt a little so I removed my shirt and saw the bandages on my body.

"DID SHE SEE IT?" I shouted so loud that my mom heard it downstairs and thought to herself, "Yep he is still a kid."
