On her Twitter and Facebook posts, Marla said about her brother Arlie and Dan Reeves' deaths on New Years Day 2022. It goes like this: "When Arlie and Dan first met, Dan and I told him about praying so hard as did my other brothers. The last time Arlie saw Dan was in 2003 in Dallas as Jason Witten was in his rookie year. Arlie went on to have a lunch with Dat Nguyen. My 2-year-old grandson Lincoln was very spoiled at Arlie and Dat. My daughter Natalee was with Dan after the Cowboys lost to the Falcons where Dan coach, but fired after Week 14. Unfortunately, my children were not related to Dan. Arlie and Dan just spoke later on about his coaching days, and saying goodbye. Natalee turned 19 two days later. My five more brothers attend the same game. I prayed for Arlie and Dan's lives forever."
