puppy princess is basically gingerballs in this chapter ig minus wizard in a relationship, it's just him having a crisis bc he thinks wizard doesnt feel the same and is jealous of whoever stole wizards heart 😩🤚

Wizard's been constantly trying to drop hints on his feelings for Gingerbrave. He accepted defeat that the cookie completely stolen his heart and his feelings weren't going away any time soon.

"He's so- adorably oblivious," Wizard whined as Strawberry gave him a cup of tea.
"Who's adorably oblivious?" Brave walked in on them. Great.

Wizard froze and Strawberry nervously chuckled "Just Wizard having a little crush is all, Gingerbrave. No need to worry!"

"You like someone? Ohh! I wonder who this lucky cookie is," Brave giggled. He completely hid the fact he was jealous of this 'mystery' cookie. Wizard gave Strawberry a death glare and she just shrugged.

Gingerbrave lay in his room wondering who this cookie could be. He couldn't think of anyone that would fit Wizard's taste... he didn't even know Wizard's taste. He was supposed to meet the lad back in Herb's garden again which was the most beautiful place he's ever seen, but for some reason it made him nervous to face him again.

"Hey!"
Wizard perked up as he was met with the cookie he might just be in love with. "Oh hi!" he greeted.  Brave sat next to him.

"So.. who is this mystery cookie you like?"
"H-Huh?"
"your crush! Who are they? You can tell me, I won't judge" Brave smiled.
"W-Well.. um.. I'll tell you some other time, c'mon let's go get some tea at Sparkling's. He's right next to Herb's place so it won't take long" Wizard changed the subject.
Gingerbrave went along and decided to hold his friend's hand as they walked, Wizard became a silent flustered mess because of this.

It was close to closing time already so the bar was nearly empty except for Vampire drunkily asking for more of the grape juice as Sparkling refused to.
The bartender smiled as he saw the two walk in.
"Ah well if it isn't the WizardBrave duo," he chuckled "What brings you nice lads here at such a late time?"
"Just.. for drinks"

Sparkling was making a smoothie for the two cookies, he always kept storage for youngster-friendly drinks as Custard and Pancake would occasionally barge in and get some of the most threateningly sweet drinks. Wizard noticed that the bar had quite a lot of flowers.

'it must be gifts from Herb.. he really does know how to convey a message through just flowers. These are so elegantly put together in such a way, is Sparkling that oblivious too?' thoughts filled his mind and nearly drowned out Gingerbrave's concern for why his friend was staring into space.

"Wizard.. Wizard!"
"hm?" the cookie quickly got back into reality.
"Our drinks"

He noticed that 2 smoothies were passed out to the both of them. Sparkling seemed to be on the phone with someone. Probably Herb.

"Are you twoooo like.. ... ... a thinnnnggg nowww orrrrr?" it was Vampire pointing at Wizard and Gingerbrave. Both their faces heat up and Brave is the one to speak.
"N-No no! We aren't like that," he assured with a nervous chuckle. This tugged at Wizard's heart.

The two were now sitting back in the garden.
Gingerbrave wanted to know so badly who couldve won Wizard's heart, he was almost positive that it just couldn't be him. But no one else ever hanged around Wizard. Could it be him? For once the cookie felt so.. nervous.

"Brave?"
Gingerbrave turned to face the cookie next to him. In this specific moment, it felt like they were the only two left. They locked eyes and Gingerbrave really got to see how magical Wizard's eyes are, he completely got lost in them. For the first time, Wizard realized Brave had sugar freckles and it only made the cookie look much more handsome.

"Like what you see?" Brave broke the silence and giggled.
"You're funny," sighed Wizard. Gingerbrave realized that he wanted to be more to Wizard than his 'funny friend'.

Lights flickered and turned on. It made the place so much more colorful.
Right now, it felt like the most perfect opportunity for Wizard to finally confess his emotions. Something was holding him back. All the thoughts and possibilities rushed in his head that he couldn't just say it. He knew he had to try...

"Wizard.. there's something I want to tell you," Gingerbrave started, it made the other internally panic.
"Yes, Brave?"
"I.."—'I love you'—"I think you're a great friend," he mentally slapped himself. Wizard's heart sank deeper.
"Y-Yeah, you're a great friend too," Wizard managed out.
'shoot shoot shoot how do i tell him?!' Gingerbrave panicked.

He wanted to be more than friends, he wanted to be more than the goofy "ordinary" cookie to Wizard. Gingerbrave just.. couldn't get himself to admit it out loud. After all, Wizard liked someone already and he doubted it'd be him.

🌙a/n: this might have spelling mistakes and stuff, it was kinda half-assed. mental health dropped and it's starting to feel more and more isolated. Writing is a bit of comfort though i guess but yea🌙

btw it's gonna be the anniversary of me crawling out the womb on the 12th yay whoo-hoo to me yayayayayayya
