"War? Why? For what?" I ask in one breath.

"After what you did to Victor, the other packs found out that you're Liam's mate and now, they are waging war against our pack. After the male wolves come back, we will go and train as well. We must be prepared for anything and everything," Ivory explains.

Wait a minute, how do they know what I did to Victor?! Did Liam tell them?!

"What? No! That's not right. And how do you all know about what I did to Victor?" I exclaim.

"It didn't take time for us to tie everything together. The description of the mate and Victor's death," Ivory says

"What do you mean 'that's not right'?" Iris says.

"What I mean is that why do you all have to suffer from my actions? It's not fair to all of you and the pack," I explain.

"Navya, when a family member is in trouble, we help to protect that member as a family," Ivy says.

"Plus this is the alpha's decision and we cannot go against them," Lucy adds.

I smack myself in the head. Why is Liam dragging the family in my problems? They don't deserve this because I don't want to put them in any more trouble. I need to talk to Liam.

"Where are the men training?" I ask.

"At the park in Ridgefield," Ivory responds.

I grab my purse and car keys, run out of the house before the women stop me, sit in the car, and race out of the packed neighborhood. I reach the park in Ridgefield and see the pack men training in the field. Liam, Lucas, Luke, and Jake are leading the training sessions.

Not gonna lie, it's sexy to see Liam in charge. The stern and focused expression on his face make him more attractive to me. His focus breaks when he sees me from a distance.

Liam whispers something in Jake's ear. Jake nods and Liam leaves everyone and walks toward me. "Good morning sweetheart."

"Good morning honey," I greet back.

"I'm sorry if I scared you," He says.

"Huh? How did you scare me?" I ask with confusion.

"Because I wasn't in bed with you," Liam clears my confusion.

"Oh, it's ok. I read your note anyway," I tell him.

"Ok good. Also, I saw Ran before leaving." I nod at him. I want to say more but I don't know where to start. Liam cups my face in his hands and has me looking up at him. "Babe, whatever is on your mind, you can tell me."

"I don't understand why the whole pack has to fight in the war for my mistake. It's not fair to you or anyone. I don't understand why those wolves want to fight now. I told you the reason as to why I......killed Victor. He accused me of cheating on him and decided to walk out on me. I got so mad that I burned him alive, thanks to my grandmother's powers. But now--" Liam shuts me up by kissing me on the lips.

I melt in the kiss and after several seconds, he breaks the kiss and looks at me with love and comfort. "Baby, you are part of this family now and the third junior Luna of the pack. I would never let anything happen to you and neither would the pack. The pack is bound to protect you and so am I. Don't ever think that we're fighting for your mistake. We are fighting because you don't deserve this kind of treatment from those enemies. We will give them what they deserve," Liam explains to me.

"Are you sure?" I ask him.

Liam gives me a peck on the lips and reassures me, "I am very sure. Now, it is time for the female wolves to train. I'll mind-link all of them and tell them to start training. Lucy will be leading the session." I nod and go back to the house to change into the appropriate training attire.
