Harry entered the Gryffindor study room around midnight, when everybody had already settled into their dorms. He looked around: in there, there was a sofa, a desk with a chair and a shelf full of books, but Diana was nowhere to be seen.
Just as he started to think she had pranked him – it wouldn't have been the first time, to his ego –, she spoke, "You're late, Potter"
Harry jumped and frowned.
"You scared me!"
She shrugged, "Good for you, then. Now tell me, Potter"
"Tell you what?" he asked, rather confused.
"The truth, of course,"
He crossed his arms, trying to copy her posture, but failed the attempt.
"And why would I trust you, Krum?" he replied, tilting his chain upwards and adopting a defensive position.
She laughed sarcastically.
"Don't play with me, Potter," Diana grinned. "You trusted me when I told you to meet here, in the middle of the night, when everyone else is sleeping and in an abandoned study room. Why wouldn't you trust me now?"
He fell silent and murmured, "You've got a point"
" 'Course I do," she said. "Tell me. Now"
"It was Malfoy," he finally confessed. "He petrified me"
Diana couldn't help but laugh.
"Why would he?" she asked. "Anyway, where did you go after the Slughorn shit, Potter?"
"Why do you want to know it, Krum?" he replied annoyingly, "You act as though you were, I don't know- my girlfriend, for example, and I had to tell you everything I do-"
"I'm not your girlfriend, that's right," she interrupted. "But you damn well wish I were, don't you?"
"I –" he tried to say, his cheeks turning red.
"That's what I thought. Where did you go, then?"
"I was spying over Malfoy" he recognized.
"You still think he's a Death Eater, don't you?"
"Yes," he murmured, "They said something about a mission that Voldemort gave Malfoy"
"Okay, now that Ron and Hermione aren't here, let me tell you that he's been acting really awkwardly," she said. "He has quit Quidditch, he's not doing Prefect Duty anymore... He even refused to visit Weasley's Wizard Wheezes with me!"
