(A/N: in my story, sixth and seventh years' bedrooms are for two people, and they are kinda like suites. I mean they have two bedrooms (one for each person and on each side of the room) and one common living room in the middle)

'I get drunk on jealousy'

Halfway through October came their first trip of the term to Hogsmeade. Diana had wondered whether these trips would still be allowed, given the increasingly tight security measures around the school, but was pleased to know that they were going ahead; it was always good to get out of the castle grounds for a few hours.

Diana woke early on the morning of the trip, which was proving stormy, and whiled away the time until breakfast by thinking about Jack. She was going on a date with him, which she thought she would never do. However, they had become closer in the past few weeks, so she agreed when he asked her once again to go to Hogsmeade with him. She got dressed carefully, although she did whenever they didn't have to wear their uniforms.

She exited her bedroom, crossed the common living room of her shared dorm with Hermione, and knocked on her door.

"Come in!" she said.

When Diana opened the door, she found her friend laying on the bed, reading her own copy of Advanced Potion-Making with close attention.

"Hermione," she called out her friend's name.

"Yes?" Hermione replied, not looking up at her.

"It's Saturday. Seven in the morning. What are you doing?"

Hermione looked up at her this time. Her expression was a kind of 'It's obvious' one, yet she replied, "Reading"

Diana sat on her bed beside her, "You know you're not gonna do anything by reading that book, don't you?"

Hermione closed the book loudly.

"Why not?" she said angrily. "I don't get why Harry and you can make every potion perfectly by following these instructions!"

"You know Harry's not following these orders, right? He's been copying everything from that Half-Blood Prince's book," Diana said, trying to comfort Hermione.

"What about you? Whose instructions are you following, may I ask?"

Diana opened her mouth to say something, but nothing came out of her lips; just a low sort of whimper that made Hermione roll her eyes.

"You're following Harry's book too, aren't you?" she said, it sounded more like an affirmation rather than a question.

Diana shrugged, "I have to! I'm not gonna fail Potions just because this book," she took Hermione's copy, "has the wrong instructions!"
