'Guilty or innocent?'

February moved toward March with no change in the weather except that it became windy as well as wet. To general indignation, a sign went up on all common room notice boards that the next trip into Hogsmeade had been cancelled. Ron was furious.

"It was on my birthday!" he said. "I was looking forward to that!"

"Not a big surprise, though, is it?" said Harry. "Not after what happened to Katie."

She had still not returned from St. Mungo's. What was more, further disappearances had been reported in the Daily Prophet, including several relatives of students at Hogwarts.

"But now all I've got to look forward to is stupid Apparition!" said Ron grumpily. "Big birthday treat . . ."

"Oh, will he ever stop complaining?" murmured Diana to herself, although Harry heard it and chuckled softly.

Three lessons on, Apparition was proving as difficult as ever, though a few more people had managed to Splinch themselves. Frustration was running high and there was a certain amount of ill feeling toward Wilkie Twycross and his three D's, which had inspired a number of nicknames for him, the politest of which were Dogbreath and Dunghead.

"Happy birthday, Ronniekins!" said Diana the morning of the first of March when Harry and Ron joined her during breakfast. "Did you receive my present?"

Ron nodded, "Yeah, thanks for getting me a black eye," he said sarcastically. She had got him one of Fred and George's joke artefacts that consisted in a box with a big fist that would punch whoever opened it. "And don't call me Ronniekins!"

Ignoring him, Diana looked at Harry, her brow raised, "Did you fix his black eye before I could see it?"

With a grin forming on his lips, Harry nodded. "I have my own tricks, Di,"

"Yeah, and now I won't have a happy morning," she said, rolling her eyes at him and crossing her arms on her chest. "Thank you very much, Potter"

He leaned in and his mouth reached her ear, where he murmured, "Maybe you won't have a happy morning," he teased, his hand caressing her back slowly, "but I could give you a very happy night, you know..."

She pushed him quickly.

"Shut up, Potter"

"Make me"

"Guys, fancy a Chocolate Cauldron?" asked Ron out of the blue, reminding Diana of his presence. He was holding a heart shaped, pink box that was full of chocolates.

"No, thanks," said the two at the same time, going back to their faked argument.

"So immature, Krum," said Harry teasingly, rolling her eyes and shaking his head no. "You're just acting like a child,"
