"You're not seeing our baby."

I glare at the four of them because who do they think they are? Just to show up here and think it'd be that easy.

"How did you two get this house?" Mimi's dad questions me, trying to look around behind me. Only for me to move around so that he can't really see.

I don't know if Mimi is hiding or just getting dressed, does he even know that they're here?

"What do you think? We got no help from you, we got everything from my parents - and it wasn't asked either. We wouldn't want your help, and we don't need it." I tell him straight up and his grandpa was the first to look like he had lots to say. "Spit it out, I know you have much to say."

"Louis said you two were close friends...he lied to us!" He cried, looking at his wife who looked just as upset. "So our grandson really is gay?"

"So what? You keep this up I'm slamming the door in your face and I'll smile doing it." I sneer, and they go silent. I look at Mimi's mom, having been the only one who hasn't spoken. I didn't have any animosity towards her...that was very strong.

I just am disappointed that she never tried to defend her son from his father. It's always some kind of battle and she either becomes a mute, or joins in on it. It should be a natural instinct to want to protect your child from anyone and anything, even if it's their own father. It doesn't even matter if you're married to him - it's just the right thing to do.

I wouldn't get upset if Mimi was to try and defend our daughter if we were to have a little argument. I'd want him on her side. I just don't understand why she can't do that.

"I would...love and appreciate if I could see my grandchild. I don't even know the gender...could you at least say?" She asks of me, and I look at them. They all seemed very curious about such a thing and I look away.

"Your grandchild is a girl." I tell them that much.

I instantly saw his grandmother's eyes light up happily, and his dad looked just as happy. I look at his mom who seemed to almost be tearing up.

"So...on my end I don't want any of you to see our daughter," I start, seeing his mom look more saddened, "But I think Mimi and I could agree that it'd be fine if his mom came in. You all are not welcome."

I see her sigh in relief, but the anger that flew over his father's face was quick and evident.

"You can't just choose who gets to see our granddaughter! Either all of us or nobody-."

"It's not up to you, it's our child. You have no control over me, you have no control over our daughter, and you now no longer have any control over Mimi because he's a grown adult. You have no power over this, it'd be better if you accept that now. It'll save you the outbursts." I sneer with a smile, causing him to gasp.

I move aside for his mom to walk in, and as soon as she does I see his dad grab her arm. I narrow my eyes on him only for her to look at him.

"You...can't see her without us, let's go." He says sharply, and I was disgusted by that. Before I could speak I see her yank out of his grasp with this aggravated look.

His dad looked angry by that and I just snort.

"Bye." I chuckle in their face, and I start laughing as I close the door in their face. I was quick to lock it so that they didn't try anything funny.

Once I turn around I see his mom looking at me shyly, her eyes scanning the house.

"It's...very nice. Are you guys still looking for some furniture? Need some help?"
