CH-10... We meet again

Sarah's heart fluttered her face was no longer the calm and pitiful. All the memories kept flashing in the back of her mind making her extremely difficult to breathe.

She looked forward and saw a person who had fixed his eyes on her as if he was goona eat her alive in the very next second.

He was not the same at all, his face was more mature and charming but she could no more find the courtesy in his expressionless mysterious face.

Shocked by his appearance, she wanted to slap him but instead, she gave a warm smile and walked towards him.

"Hi, We meet again" . Sarah spoke with mixed feelings.

Victor raised his brows slightly. As if he was seeing her for the first time.

Sarah was embarrassed by his reaction still she swallowed her pride and tended to ease the atmosphere, as what happened in the past is gone. They were too young at that time. She shook her head trying to comfort herself.

"Don't you recognize me? I am Sarah James, remember we meet in Helen,'s Birthday in City A." Sarah looking straight at his deep bottomless eyes and spoke in low mellow voice.

"You recognized the wrong person, Doctor ." Victor adjusted his tie and spoke in cold voice giving a series of jolt to Sarah's wavering heart.

Sarah :".." Her jaw dropped, as a cold bucket of water was again poured down on her. She tighten her grip over her desk and raised her eyes in disbelief.

She was confused but she was sure that she wasn't mistaken at all, how can she ever forgot the face of the man she had remembered every day and night for almost 6 Years now. Still she sighed and took a deep breath and swallowed all her discomfort and grief.

"Aren't you Victor Smith?" Sarah gave it a final shot and closed her eyes after asking him.

Victor's temples thrones and his heart pounded heavily.

The fact that she still rememberd his name, after breaking his heart into multiple pieces made his skin to itch from irritation.

Ahh women you really are something, may be she remembers the fun after all, Victor thought to himself and braced himself as he would never admit to the fact that even after so many years, she was still making his heart to flutter.

He gave a rather cold smile, his deep brown eyes were like of someone who could kill people only by looking at them.

Sarah felt chill running down her spine, she only remembered the man's bright smile and teasing tone. Her eyes were turning dry as she recalled his gaze which was excalty the same he had on that day.

" Women, kindly pull some other tricks. Don't you think you are pushing your luck, too hard? Do I look so desperate to lower my standards?" .Victor words fell on Sarah's ears like a thunderclap.

Victor spoke in deep and husky voice as if he was having a good conversation while Sarah took two steps back from shock. She couldn't believe what she heard just now.

Aahhh... Did he really forgot about her or was he scheming against her like he did last time?
Sarah mind buzzed with all the complicated thoughts circling her head, Was all those things which happened between them in the past was nothing to him?.

Was it just a fling to him, even if it was how can he act like she was the one who broke his heart.?

Her face was crimson from anger and frustration, she really wanted to punch him in his face but thinking about the situation they were in, she chased the thought for a while.
