I hear foot steps..

It is probably just an animal..

a deer maybe.

All of a sudden I hear...

a bark?

yes like a dog barking close by,

I still have my eyes closed and I am too tired to open them so I just listen.

I hear more foot steps but these sound heavier than the first ones.

Scratch that two sets of foot steps?

Yes it is Definitely two sets of foot steps

Omg will that dog stop barking

all of a sudden I feel somthing wet on my face

ew did the dog just lick me

nasty

I feel myself sliping out of consciousness

Just before I do I hear voices, Muffled but they are definetly voices

—————===================—————

As wake up I am met with pain. Not just like you stub your toe kinda pain, like the kinda pain that is lingering and travels down your spine and reaches every nerve in your body, kinda pain.

I feel somthing soft under me like a bed or a blanket. I also hear voices and try to push past my headache to listen.

"What do you think happened to her?"

"I have no clue, We just found her in the forest half dead"

"She has wings, I've never seen somone with wings before, have you?"

"Nope, Never."

"Is she even human?"

"I have no clue."

I quickly come to my senses and realized I have no clue where I am or who the voices are. With that sudden relization I quickly open my eyes and sit up on the bed. I wince through gritted teeth at the sudden movement. I pull out my dagger, Still covered in Dreams blood and hold it out in a defensive position from where I am weekly leaning again the wall while looking around rapidly and at the people in front of me.

"WOOOOW, HEY, hey, it's ok, Your safe now." A man says, looking to be middle aged. He has dark curly hair, it reminds me of Wilbur's. I take in my surroundings still holding up the knife.

It is a small room with 1 bed that I am currently sitting on. To the left is a big open window with a nightstand under it and further along the wall is a door. To the right is double doors that I assume is a closet and behind the man there is a door that is open to what looks like a hallway.

There is a woman beside the man also looking middle aged with dark almost black hair. It is somewhat wavy and travels down her sholders to her elbows.

"Where am I?" I say hoarsely still holding out the knife.

The woman reaches for a glass of water beside her and try's to hand me it to me while still being behind who I assume is her husband but I just look at it.

They could be working for Dream

It could easily be poisoned

Better safe than sorry

I look back at the man, gripping my knife tighter

I jump off the bed ignoring the screaming pain. I get my wings tucked to my back as I kick the man in the chest and pin him to the floor with my foot while leaning over him and hold the dagger to his throat. I hear the woman gasp but I ignore it.

"I said. where. am. I." I say glaring daggers into the man's eyes while hovering my blade milimeters from his throat.

"I-I was out on a w-walk with my daughter and our dog f-found y-you, you w-were hurt really bad s-so we brought y-you back to our h-house to b-bandage you u-up." He says stuttering

"What is this land called" I say sternly moving the blade closer to his neck so the blade is touching his neck.

"A-Arcaneia" he says looking terrified

"Why should I belive you." I say, I have to make sure this wasn't just a trick.

"Dad?!" I hear someone yell from the door way infront of me. I look up fast and see a girl standing in the door way to the hallway, about the same age as me, looking terrified.

I don't know what to do so I just look at her and cock my head. Obviously she is scared I am holding a knife to her Dad's throat! But I don't move, I just keep eye contact with her. She has no visable scars, that is weird, everyone I have ever met has had some kind of battle scars across there arms or face. She also isn't wearing any armor. Now that I think about it, neither are her parents. If Dream was trying to trick me, he would not have sent in his people unpretected. He would have also not let me pin down one of his men and let me slit his throat, which I can do really easily right now with this man. These people can't be working for Dream.

I look back down to the man who is now looking at me with confusion and even more fear for the person in the doorway. I slowly pull the dagger away from his neck and put it back in it's sheth. I get up from my kneeling postion and take the foot off the man, and stand up.

I am now very confused. Why would somone just help a random stranger they found in the woods? Especially if they see them with wings beaten to a pulp. Wouldn't they realize there was a reason I was like that?

Suddenly I feel very lightheaded and I begin to stumble backwards. The woman helps me back to sit on the bed so I don't fall.

I finnally have a chance to look myself over. examine all my injures.

I look down and carefully lift my shirt just enough to touch the bandage now around my stomach where my stab wound is. As I do this I notice my palms are wrapped with some gause, probaby because of the burns and the scrape I got. I open my wings a little and grit my teeth as I relax them on the bed. I notice the majority of my feathers are intact which is a big supprise to me. They are all out of place and a few have scorched tip but the majority look.....ok. Some spots on my wings are wrapped in gause which i'm guessing that where the broken bones are. The cuts on my arms from the trees are already starting to scab over, and my head doesn't hurt as much as it did before, also the ringing in my ears finally stopped.

I look up and I relize the man got off the floor and the girl is now leaning close to the man's side. The women is standing next to the man but they are all staring at me with a confused but interested expression.

"Thank you." I say hoarsely

"Your welcome, now if I offer you some water will you not try to kill us?" She says nervously but also kindly

"yes, and I am truly sorry about that." I say looking at the man at the last part. He just nods reassuringly
