Dear Stranger

Dear Stranger,
Where are you now?
You're easy to find in the busiest crowds.

You dress in grey,
Like the way I feel.
You don't know half of the thoughts I conceal.

Your eyes are chains,
Your touch is the lock.
Your time went fast on the slowest clock.

You're a poison,
And I should've known.
My heart is of scars as yours is of stone.

Tell me your secrets,
I'll tell you mine.
Together we'll share a secret crime.

Go ahead and walk past,
As if I'm not there.
Why don't you want me? It's just not fair.

The day you left me,
My heart had dropped.
Just like you were a trap door to the mind I lost.

Dear Stranger,
Where are you now?
I should've tried harder...if I only knew how.
