Evelyn's Pov
Me, Spencer, Emily, Aria and Hanna sat together in the barn laughing and chatting. Outside, the storm was getting worse. The wind howled and the thunder crashed with random sparks of lightning. All of us were here except for one. Alison. Alison always wanted to make a grand entrance and surprise us all. Suddenly there was a huge gush of wind and the barn went into darkness. We all got our flashlights and turned them on. "It must be the storm." Spencer told us. Then we heard a creak from outside the barn. "Somethings out there." Whispered Aria whilst shining her flashlight towards the door. We looked at the door swaying as the wind blew it. "Guys." Hanna said as we all stood up to look outside the barn. We all stared at the creaking door as a crash came from outside causing us to gasp in fear as we stepped closer to the door. My breath grew heavy and I grabbed my sister's arm for comfort. Aria shone her flashlight towards the door. When, just then... "Gotcha." A beautiful blonde appeared in the doorway giggling. We all shrieked in shock and I took a deep breath. The girl giggled as she saw our terrified faces. "So not funny Alison." Spencer said whilst sighing a sigh of relief. Ali entered the barn and sat down on a chair as the rest of us followed her whilst giggling. "So Ali, did you download the new Beyoncé yet." Hanna asked. "Not yet." Ali responded. "I'm loving her new video." Emily told us as she got comfy in her chair. "Maybe a little too much em." Said Alison with her mischievous smirk. I gave Ali a warning glance. Ali always took jokes too far and was going to hurt people's feelings. Ali grabbed the glass from the table and took a sip then handed it towards me. "Your Turn." Ali encouraged me. I took the glass warily and had a sip. "Careful ev. Drink too much and you'll tell us all your secrets." Spencer jokingly told me. We all giggled and I gave Spencer a sarcastic smile. "Friends share secrets. That's what keeps us close," Ali told the group "drink up." She said turning towards me. A few moments later we all decided to go to sleep.

I woke up and looked around me. Everyone was peacefully sleeping but there was an empty chair where Ali once was sat. I stood up and looked towards the door which was open a crack. I carefully walked around the sleeping girls trying not to wake any of them as I went to the barn door. I stepped outside the barn and looked around for Ali. I saw a something sparkle on the floor and picked it up. It was Ali's necklace. It was a silver necklace with a heart with the letter A on. I put the necklace in my pocket then looked around for Ali and she was nowhere to be seen. Then I heard some rustling behind me and turned around to see my sister Spencer. "Oh god spence, you scared me." I said whilst hugging her. "I wondered where you went. I woke up and you and Ali were gone. So, where's Ali?" Spencer asked. "I have no idea. She was gone before I was awake." I told Spencer. "Come on. Let's get back to the barn before the others wake up." Spencer said. Just as we were walking back to the barn we heard a familiar scream in the distance. "What was that?" I asked Spencer. "I'm not sure. Let's just go inside ." Spencer said as we ran back into the barn. "Ali?" Aria called out. "She's gone." Spencer told her. "What do you mean she's gone?" Aria questioned. "We've looked everywhere for her. We think we heard her scream." I told Aria.

This year was one of the hardest years of my life. After Ali's disappearance all of our friend group stopped talking to each other. Obviously me and Spencer still talk since we're sisters but for the rest of the girls. It's like we never knew each other. Aria's family decided to get away from rosewood for a while to get a clean start but they're coming back today which could be nice. I made new friends at school and my life has changed completely. I sometimes wish Ali would come back and everything would go back to normal.
I woke up at 7:30 on Sunday morning .l looked at my phone and saw the date today. One year without Ali. I put my phone on my nightstand and got out of bed. l then went to have a shower in my bathroom. I spent a few minutes in the shower then went to pick out some clothes.
