The next morning Dazai was still asleep, so you snuck off of him then began clothing yourself. You picked up your phone to see 5 unread messages.
Cute Clown Y/n! I want to meet up with you! It's been forever since I saw you last.
I was hoping we could meet up at the place?
If need be I can go and grab you myself!
It wouldn't be a hassle for me!
I'd love to see my beautiful girl again soon!
You sighed laughing a bit. You turned to look at Dazai who was out like a lightbulb. You snuck out texting Nikolai.
You: I'll be there in a bit, I missed you and can't wait to see you! <3
You started walking to "the place" which was a certain tree you and Nikolai use to hang out by when you both were just children.
You had always been the first person he has not had the intent to kill. You and him had shared everything together since you both were 10. He had been very loving and silly since you have met him. He loved to play tricks and mess with you.
You knew exactly what you were doing. Being with "them" and sneaking to infiltrate the mafia and detective agency. It didn't pain you, until you found out your only family member had joined the agency.
Once you got to the tree you saw a very familiar face and tall hat.
"Y/N!!!! I MISSED YOU " Nikolai had shouted running at you.
You hugged him back but soon stepped back to look him in his eyes, your very own e/c eyes started to water as tears fell from them.
He knew exactly why you were crying. You were conflicted on your own feelings, not knowing what you felt anymore.
Nikolai just hugged you and held you tightly. "I might not understand why you feel this way, but I am trying. I want to stay in your life and help where I can," he said caressing your h/l h/c hair.
"Thank you..." you said before starting to cry harder. He just went silent and held you tight not letting you go at all.
~dazai's place~
"Y/n?..." Dazai said still half asleep. When he haven't gotten an answer he got up and looked around.
"Y/n!?"
He kept yelling wondering where you had went.
He then started to call your phone but never got an answer. He got upset, started to get mad and throw things around. Once he calmed down he sat on the side of his bed with a bottle of alcohol in his hand, crying. He knew this would happen if he let his guard down, but he didn't expect this moment to come so soon.
He had felt so hurt he didn't go to work or eat all day, he had just laid there in bed all day.

You started to leave and go back to the agency forgetting all about Dazai. As you walked into the doors you saw Ranpo walk up to you.
"Y/n, I need to talk to you" he said very seriously, dragging you into another room. Once he had gotten you into the room he sat you down, "y/n. I need your help, try to get close to Fyodor and get a book. I can't explain much but we need a special book. Can you do it?" You we're very confused but agreed with no doubts.
As you were told to you texted your childhood friend asking to meet Fyodor. Reluctantly he agreed and set up a day.
~time skip~
You had been so tired after work, so obviously you decided to drink a bit. When u walked up to your door dazai came up behind you, pulling you into a tight hug. You could smell the alcohol in his breath, he was drunk. You thought this was weird because Dazai was not a lightweight when it came to alcohol
You decided to open ur door and let Dazai in. But before you could get through the door dazai passed out on you. You had to admit he was heavy but you were able to drag him to your couch and cover him up.
After you had sat him on your couch you went to make some soup for when he woke up.
after some time you had put *favorite soup* into a bowl as well as a spoon.
you saw Dazai moving a bit so you decided to go wake him up.
"dazai, hey come on get up i made you soup", he groaned and complained but soon woke up. you had to admit that seeing him tired and with bed head was attractive. he looked so vulnerable then.
"come on i have soup for you on the table" you said taking him with you to the kitchen. once he had sat down he started devouring the soup not even bothered by how hot it was. "dazai! slow down you'll burn yourself!" you said trying to move the bowl from dazai's lips. he had looked at you pouting, this made you giggle a bit. "slow down" you said sliding the bowl back to him.
he began eating the soup slower than before so you decided to go run some errands.
~time skip~
when you got back from doing errands you saw dazai once again asleep on the couch. you sighed to yourself, not wanting to wake him up but not knowing what was going on.
you didn't mind that he was over, you would let him stay as long as he wanted to. as long as he told you why he was staying with you.
you decided on waking him up. you shook him a bit saying his name, trying not to spook him. he slowly woke up and once he saw you he grabbed you and pulled you into a tight hug.
"i know you went to see him"
