From that day on he texted you everyday and when he could, he would call and ask about your day and your work. It took him a week to figure out that you worked for the same company as him.

One day he came to your cubicle during lunch to find you working through lunch. He surprised you with some Chinese food and you two ate in your office.

After you two were done he left and went back to practicing with EXO. You noticed that your co-workers were staring at you after he left.

You thought nothing of it and continued your work, until you got an email from your boss telling you to come to his office immediately. You went straight there and knocked on the door. "Come in" said a voice on the other side.

You could tell he was serious based on his tone. "[y/n], please sit" he said while pointing to a chair directly in front of his desk. "You wanted to see me sir?" (You always tried to be polite) "Yes, you see [y/n], you work for SM as a lower level employee, which means you are highly expendable"

shivers shot through your spine as he continued "Now the SM artist,  they are binded by contract and owe SM Entertainment their whole career" he paused. You took this as an opportunity to speak.

"I'm sorry sir, but are you emplying?" "You see [y/n], I have been receiving  a few accusations about you and Kris and I wanted to make sure that you were aware that he is unable to date because he  is under contract with SM-"

You cut him off "I'm sorry sir but I am not dating YiFan" you used his real name which made your bosses eye brow lift up. "Then what are you doing?" He asked with a curious look on his face.

"Honestly sir, we are just friends. Nothing more." "Good, I'm glad we straightened this out" you nodded at him and got up and walked out of his office. You went back to your cubicle,  and saw all of your co-workers staring at you. You ignored them and went back to work.

YiFan tried to meet up with you multiple times during the next few weeks but you  turned him down each time.

Finally, a month after your meeting with your boss you agreed to meet YiFan, but you wanted to wait until the weekend were you two could meet privately.
