"You have no idea how horrible first hour was for me." I said as I walked side by side with my best and only friend, Sarah.
"What happened this time?" Sarah said, looking down at her phone.
"Hmm.... I'll make it short and sweet. Scary substitute, idiot teens, paper airplane." I rolled my eyes remembering everything that happened less than ten minutes ago.
"Well, sounds like it could've been worse." Sarah shrugged.
"I guess." I mumbled as we went upstairs to gym.
"Hey, I know this is gonna sound crazy but how about after gym, we could skip the rest of school." Sarah smiled mischievously.
"You're kidding right?" I stopped in my tracks and looked over at her. "Sarah, you know how I'm a perfect goody two shoes student. I can't skip, besides what if we get caught?"
"Sydney, you need to take some risks once in a while. Being a good two shoes all your life isn't a good thing. Please just do this for me this one time." Sarah practically begged.
"There's risks you should and shouldn't take, Sarah. This is one that I probably shouldn't take. But since your my friend...." I sighed, "I'll do it."
"Yay!!! I knew you would!" Sarah jumped up and down, clapping her hands like a little girl.
I rolled my eyes, "This is going to ruin my reputation with the teachers."
"Who cares? Okay come on, I don't want to be late for gym. You know how Mrs. Ragsdale can be." Sarah ran off.
"I hate myself." I mumbled before running after her.
*Skipping gym because everyone already knows how it goes....*
"Okay, here's how we will get out. Once everyone gets to class, we go down to the cafeteria and run out the back doors." Sarah said as she took out her ponytail and brushed her hair out.
"Sarah are you stupid." I looked over at her, "We'll get caught. The cafeteria workers are still getting lunch ready, they'll for sure see us."
"Okay we can make a run for it out the front doors then. When no ones around." Sarah said as she applied a fresh layer of lip gloss.
"I can't believe I'm going to do this." I groaned.
"Oh, believe it." Sarah put the cap back on her lip gloss and stuff it in her mini bag. "Okay, let's go."
We went out of gym and went downstairs to the main entrance.
Sarah looked around before motioning me to follow her. At first we were fast walking then she full on ran out the doors.
I ran as fast as I could outside, following her into the field that was behind the school and into the woods. I won't ever forgive myself for doing this...
