As soon as Asami was free to go, she met Mikey who lean against the pole with his arms crossed and his eyes closed.
"Mikey?" She softly called out. Her hearts clenched in pain when she saw how empty his once bright eyes were. Despite that, he still gave her a soft and gentle smile as he stood up straight. He held out his hand for her and she hesitantly took because of the guilt she's feeling for not saving his brother in time. "Let's go, Sami-chan."
"Hm..."Tears pooling in her eyes and her voice was trembling. Mikey just smile at her and gently dragged her away, leading her to a destination only he know.
Mikey pulled her towards his new bike. The one that Baji and Kazutora tried to steal and gift him. He caress the bike with a sad smile. "Have a ride with me." He got on the back and revive it after he made sure he secured the straps of the helmet on her. She hop on and wrapped her arms around his waist.
"Hold on tight!" He chuckled, pulling her hands closer to him, making her held tight around him. She blushed at how closed they were. She was literally pressed against his back and Mikey could feel her chest, making him blush.
He started driving in a fast pace, making Asami tighten her grips. "W-why are you driving so fast?!" She yelled through the air and Mikey laughed.
"Stop laughing!"
Mikey smile. He had planned on taking her out to put her mind at ease. He knew how close she and Shinichiro was. They were practically Father and Daughter. He knew the death of him will take a toll on her so he made it his mission to make her happy.
"Mikey..." She called out and Mikey Hummed. "..... I'm sorry... I--"
"Why are you apologising?" Mikey asked, his voice was soft. "You are not the one that killed him. So there's nothing to apologise about."
Mikey finally stops at the beach and both of them got off. She looks around in awe. The view of the sunrise was breathtaking. "It's so beautiful!" She beamed.
Mikey was staring at her who was smiling as he let out a soft smile, "Yeah, very beautiful..."
She turns to him and was a bit surprised to see him already looking at her but she pulled herself together and let out a grin, "I know, right?!" She gave him a closed eyes smile.
"Asami."
She tilted her head as she stares at how serious he was. "Yes?"
Mikey turns his sight to the sea. He have a very distant expression as he smile a little, "I wonder how's big Bro doing now?"
"......."
"I bet he's having a tantrum that he can't find a girl now."
"......"
"Seriously, E-Emma and I can't tease him a-anymore...He can't--!"
Asami gave him a tight hug, cutting off his rambling. He was caught off guard before relaxing into her embrace. "Cry." She said. "You don't have to put on a brave face if you're sad... It's okay to cry, Manjiro." Tears start pooling in his eyes and it slide down, damping her clothes but she doesn't mind as she held the fragile boy tight in her embrace.
