i took a gulp and made eye contact with her, i was about to open my mouth when i heard the words coming out of the teachers mouth
"Goodmorning class, sorry i'm a bit late, welcome back from summer break it's time to start learning again !"

the bell rang after 4 hours of being stuck in a chair and paying attention. yeah class wasn't bad just a little boring but i have to admit that baji made it better whenever i would catch him staring at me from time to time or when we would make eye contact for a few seconds, it would get me nervous with my cheeks all strong together trying to hide my smile.

i think his friends would notice him turning his head to see me because they would smile while looking at baji like if they would tease him about it later. i thought it was cute how baji wasn't embarrassed.

everyone left the classroom, i didn't notice when baji left because i was reaching down to my backpack to grab the book i've been currently reading. by the time i stood up everyone was already gone. i left the classroom and started walking around the school trying to explore it and also find a spot where i could sit by myself and read.

before i could find a spot, i saw a vending machine for snacks and drinks. luckily i had money in the back of my phone case, i was kinda hungry, and seeing i had money on me by luck felt like a reward. i went up to the vending machine and got some chocolate chip cookies with a carton of milk.

i was walking around again. i passed the cafeteria tables and saw a ton of people all around there. i suddenly spotted baji, sitting down somewhere with his friends he was laughing with his eyes closed. i don't know why i couldn't help but stop moving and observe him for a tiny bit. his friends were all huddled around him laughing too. it looked so wholesome. his friends seem genuinely nice and like they care for him. they look like family.

i would of loved to gone up to him and make another conversation just to talk to him like i did in the morning, but he looked like he was having a good time with his friends, i didn't want to bother him. plus there were so many people everywhere i would of gotten overwhelmed. i realized i was standing here from a distance for too long now, if his friends or him saw me they might of gotten creeped out.

i slightly smiled to myself and started walking away towards the other side of campus. the wind was hitting my face so my hair started flowing back, i loved this weather.

this school was pretty big, it took me 5 minutes to reach the other side of campus. luckily when i did, i found a good spot to sit down, with no one around, shade under a tree, and a trash can near by. i walked towards the spot and started eating my food. when i finished my cookies i put the straw in my milk and started opening my book to the where the book mark was located. i started reading while taking a sip of milk everytime i flipped a page. it was kinda comforting to be here...

"first day of school and mitsuya is already falling asleep in class HAHA" baji was roasting the boy.
"says the one who was staring at his girlfriend every .5 seconds" mitsuya flamed back
"..."
"she's not my girlfriend and i wasn't staring that much !!" baji defended himself while he looked flustered
"that's not what your face says" chifuyu teased.
"atleast i wasnt the one who answered 69 when the teacher asked a science question" baji flamed at chifuyu
"that was middle school shut up" chifuyu said while rolling his eyes.
suddenly all the boys were laughing really hard together with their eyes closed like they were bonding.

when mitsuya opened his eyes, he looked away for a brief moment and saw you walking by with a smile and some food in your hand.
"i just saw y/n" he told baji
baji quickly turned his head and started turning left and right trying to find you but you were already gone.
"she already passed by dumbass" mitsuya exclaimed
"awe man i would of invited her to sit with us." baji said all sad

"she was walking by herself.." mitsuya said with an eyebrow raised
"she's probably going to go sit with her friends" baji explained
"you know her friends?" chifuyu asked
"me? oh nah shes new to this school" baji answered.
mitsuya and chifuyu looked at eachother and both their mouths opened a little at the same time
