*Two Months Later*

It's been two months since Louis' miscarriage and he's doing better. He's still not fully his old self but that's understandable.

In the last two months, they found out that they were going to be grandparents again. Lexie was pregnant. They were super excited, especially Louis, he couldn't wait to spoil his grand baby. Harry was surprised at how Louis was so happy about it, he'd figured Louis would be jealous or something. He was wrong. Louis was truly happy getting stuff for his grand baby.

It was a Saturday night and Hunter was playing in the outside pool with Alex. Louis was keeping watch while Harry worked. The twins were at Jay's house, secretly she's their favorite grandma. And Auggie was sitting by his dad on the pool chairs.

"Is there something you need? Why aren't you playing with your siblings?" Louis asked, suspicious of his son.

"I just wanted to hang out with my dad..." August laughed awkwardly. He rubbed his arm before speaking again. "Can I have a friend over?"

"Do I know them?"

"Um no..his name is Connor, he's in my art class. Can he sleepover?"

"Are you two just friends?" Louis asked, watching his son closely.

"Uh well...um no..."

"So you're dating?"

"Well I asked him out yesterday and he said yes..."

"Then, he can sleep over, but you both will sleep in the living room. With Hunter." Louis said sternly.

"Thanks dad! And he's Hunter's friend too, so it works out. I'll go text him!"

Louis frowned. His son was dating. He didn't know how to feel about that. Lou was his age when she started dating Lexie, Louis reminded himself.

"He said that they can come after dinner. He'll be here around six-thirty!" August said excitedly, running and jumping into the pool. Louis just laughed at his sons antics. After a few minutes he decided to text his mum.

How're the twins?

Lovely. They are begging me for a snack tho, I'm about to give them some crackers.

August has a date coming over

Who is it?

Not sure, he just said his name is Conner. Never heard of him.

Well I'm sure they're lovely. Now goodnight I have to get these cuties a snack.

Night mum

As he was about to set his phone down he noticed he was getting a call from Maddie. He answered and was met with a very loud and crying Carson.

"Dad, Carson won't stop crying. It's been like two hours. He's never been this bad."

"Okay well did you take his temperature?"

"Yes, he has a fever."

"Alright, give him some baby Tylenol, and give him some warmed up milk. See if that helps. Call me for anything else."

"Okay, bye dad. I love you."

She hung up and Louis went back to watching as Alex splashed her brothers.
