As Alice drove up to tthe house, Ruby was in awe.
"You live here?" She asked. Alice giggled.
"Yep. Esme designed it when we lived in Alaska"
"That's so cool, she designed it by herself?" Ruby asked. Alice nodded.
"Woah. Well she must be very artistic. Your house is a work of art." Ruby spoke as Alice lead her into the house.
The moment she stepped inside, she was hit with the feeling of home. And the amazing smell of pasta. Alice lead her upstairs, where Rosalie came over and hugged her.
"Hey" she smiled softly at the blonde girl.
"Hello. You must be Ruby" a brown haired woman smiled. She had a motherly smile, but she wasn't looking at Ruby like a mother would look at a child. Her eyes held love. And lots of it.
"Hello Mrs Cullen. Thank you for having me over"
"It's not a problem and please call me Esme, Mrs Cullen makes me feel old" Esme laughed
"I hope your hungry, I've re heated some leftover pasta from last night." Esme said softly. Ruby decided that she liked Esme. She was very welcoming and kind.
"Thank you Esme, it smells delicious" Ruby said as a blonde man walked in and kissed Esme's cheek.
"Carlisle, darling. We have company" Esme said to her husband, who smiled upon seeing Ruby standing in his home.
"Hello, dear. I'm Carlisle."
"Hello Sir, I'm Ruby." She gave a small wave. Carlisle's eyes lit up with love.
"Please, Call me Carlisle. You have made quite an impression on the kids. Many people enjoy gossiping about them. Treating them like animals in the zoo, but you didn't. Thank you" he smiled a genuine smile.
"You don't need to thank me. I can relate to your family. At my old school I was subjected to snide comments and hurtful words. Your children welcomed me with open arms. If anything I should be thanking them. And you two" Ruby smiled.
"Us?" Esme asked, confused
"Well you raised them, blood or not. You have taught them to be good people." Ruby shrugged.
Carlisle and Esme were so in love with her. She was kind and polite.
Esme played up some pasta for Ruby and smiled as she sat and ate.
Edward and the boys walked into the room and smiled at the back of Ruby, who was listening to Carlisle's ranting about a new nurse.
Carlisle couldn't help but smile at Ruby. She was a breath of fresh air in the sense that she was someone else to talk to, someone else to hold and someone else to love.
"Okay dad, stop hogging our friend" Alice said as she pulled Ruby away.
"Nice meeting you Carlisle, you too Esme!" Ruby said as she was pulled upstairs.
Carlisle and Esme chuckled and kissed each other.
Ruby sat on the bed as Rosalie walked in with makeup and hair brushes.
"Can I do your hair?" Rose smiled. Ruby nodded.
"So, what should we do?" Alice asked as she smiled at Ruby.
"I think we should go shopping" Rosalie said as she braided Rubys hair
"I love you're hair" Rosalie smiled
"Thanks. I used to get bullied for being Ginger. Kids used to call me a vampire because I can't go in the sun and because I am pale" she chuckled.
"Why can't you go in the sun?"
