Ruby sits in her room, sighing as she takes off her makeup, her eyes slightly puffy from being at the funeral of her Uncle Waylon. She lies on the bed, she looks beside her and sees her grandmother's spirit.
"Don't worry, gran, I'm looking after them, " she says as the woman gives a small smile before dispersing. She closes her eyes for a minute, then heads over to her closet to get some pyjamas, and she goes to shower.
Feeling refreshed, she sits down and begins to write her essay. She is halfway through when Bella opens the door.
"I know what they are," bella starts
"What the hell are you talking about?" Ruby sighs
"The Cullens. I know they're vampires"
"And I say again, what are you talking about?"
"Don't act coy. And if you don't know, then maybe you should take this as a warning. They're killers. They probably killed Waylon," The Brunette says
"Bella, that is a very, very bold statement. Have you been smoking my weed?" Ruby laughs
"No. Look, just be careful. Maybe you're their sacrifice or something"
"Are you... Seriously worried?" Ruby frowns, confused
"Pfft, no. Look, if they are vampires, then maybe you aren't safe. I mean, why else would Edward and his entire family want you?"
"Ouch", Ruby scoffs
"They aren't vampires, that's insane, they aren't real."
"Then why are they so interested in you?"
"Sex. Purely sex." Ruby answers, making Bella take a step back
"Slut"
"Nice sisterly moment ruined. Can you go now? I have an essay to write."
Bella turns on her heel and leaves. Once out of earshot, she calls Rosalie
"Hi pretty girl-"
"Bella knows."
"For fucks sake"
After a long discussion, they all decide that it may be safer for Bella to know, in case she draws attention to herself in the wrong ways and draws in the nomads that have been roaming the nearby areas.
"This means she will be deeply integrated into our lives, finding out everything," Ruby says.
"It's the safest way", Alice says as Esme holds Ruby's hand.
"This is dangerous for everyone." She says
"I'll tell her", Edward says, making Ruby frown
"Why you?"
"I'll scare her off," he shrugs
"No, Rosalie or Jasper would scare her off; she is already obsessed with you", Emmett scoffs
"Which means she will listen to me,"
Ruby sighs. "She is going to be so much more irritating."
And so, Edward tells Bella, explaining vampires. And Ruby explains the truth about her, Ruben, their dad and Judah.
Bella doesn't get scared, but says she will back off. When she clears off, Edward picks Ruby up and runs to a meadow.
"Where are we?" Ruby asks
"I come here to think, this place is a place where i contemplated everything, but it is now, our place" He smiles as the sun comes out, illuminating his skin
