Y/N'S POV
Once I was done with my shift in Sunrise's daycare I had to go work in Moondrop's daycare. Mostly I'm there to make sure the older kids aren't doing inappropriate things or trying to kill each other. Or Moondrop trying to kill them. Moondrop and I have been dating for a while. I walked into Moondrop's daycare and thankfully today was chill. The room was dim for those who has a fear if the dark. I walked over to my work desk and sat down.
I grabbed my pencil and my work sheets. It was almost time for Moondrop's daycare to close. I was finishing up my last paper.
Moondrop: "Hey love."
Y/n: "Hey Moony. How are you?"
Moondrop: "Better now."
Y/n: "Good."
I looked up at him and he smiled. I smiled back and finished up my paper work. I got an put my chair back.
Y/n: "Tomorrow my only shift is in Sunrise's room. Before I check out I know to check up on you."
Moonrise: "Alright. As long as you check up on me ill be fine."
I smiled.
Y/n: "You can contain yourself and I don't have to watch you every second I'll still come in at closing time."
?: "Uh MX?" (it's a gender neutral way of saying ma'am or sir.)
Y/n: "Yes? May I help you?"
?: "Uhm is there a restroom around here?"
Y/n: "Ah yes, go out the front left door and go to the left. Gender neutral is in the middle one. The one on the left is the males an the one on the right it the females."
?: "Thanks MX!"
The kid ran off. I looked at Moon and he sat on my desk. I smiled. Parents came to come pick up their teenagers and pre-teens. Today nobody was hurt from what I've seen and heard. I said bye to the people that left.
Few minutes later
Everybody left except one kid. That looked like they were 14. Moondrop went up to his hide out and I went over to the kid.
Y/n: "Hey. Are your parents coming to pick you up soon kiddo? We'll be closing here soon."
?: "They should be here soon."
Y/n: "Do you know their number? You can use my phone to call them."
?: "yes, MX I do. Thank you."
I gave them my phone and they called their parents.
?: "Where are y'all I'm the only one in the daycare except for the daycare attendances!"
Caller: "Oh it's time to pick you up already? I'm on my way kid."
?: "Ok thanks. Bye."
They hung up and gave me the phone.
?: "Thanks! I needed to remind them."
Y/n: "Not a problem! In hopes you enjoyed your time!"
Their legal guardians came and picked them up. They waves and I waved. I shut the door behind them turned around. The lights turned off so I couldn't see anything. I grabbed my phone from my back pocket and and turned the flashlight on. I walked up to my desk and sat down in my chair. I waited for Moondrop for a few minutes. He never came out. He probably thought I left.
Y/n: "Moony? C'mon it's dark and I can't see. I'm gonna leave if you don't come out."
I waited for 20 minutes for him to come out. I got up and walked over to the doors. I opened the door and went to walk out. I felt Moondrop's arms quickly grab my shirt and pull me back. Which caused the door to shut.
Moondrop: "Dont leave yet. Please"
Y/n: "Did you just say 'please' WHAT THE HECK?! IS THIS A DREAM OR SOMETHING?!"
Moondrop: "shut up. I'm trying to be polite."
Y/n: "Sorry Moony. I'mma have to leave in a few minutes."
Moondrop: "Sleep over please? If you don't mind that is."
Y/n: "Fine."
I yawned and moondrop looked at me. He picked me up and went up to his hiding spot. He layed me down and sat down.
Moondrop: "Sleep. It late go to bed."
Y/n: "But I don't wunnaaa."
Moondrop: "Sleep or I'm leaving you alone up here."
Y/n: "Ok ok fine I'll go to sleep. Don't leave me alone in the dark."
Moondrop: "Ok then go to sleep."
Y/n: "Love ya dork."
Moondrop: "love ya to moonshine."
I smiled. I rested my head in his lap. He started humming a tune and smelled like moondrop candy. This made you drowsy. I fell asleep for a few hours.
I woke up. I think Moon is powered off? Not sure. I grabbed my phone and looked at the time. '5:30 I have 30 to get ready.' I thought to myself. I was getting up until Moondrop pulled me back down.
Moondrop: "Stay a few more minutes."
I sighed.
Y/n: "I have to get ready for work. I'll be back later I promise."
Moondrop: "fine."
He let go an I started climbing down from his hiding spot. I left Moondrop's daycare and went into the bathroom. I brushed my hair with my fingers. I looked in the mirror. I looked like I just woke up. Which is true. I walked out the bathroom and into Sunrise's daycare.
Y/n: "Sunrise I'm here!"
Sunrise jumped down from the balcony.
Sunrise: "Y/N! WELL HELLO FRIEND!"
kids started arriving and a few hours later they started leaving. Every kid left an I went down to Moondrop's daycare. I walked in.
Y/n: "MOONDROP! I'M HERE!"
Moondrop Came out of nowhere and his arms slithered down across my waist.
Y/n: "I told you I'd pop in. How are you today Moony?"
Moondrop: "Better now. Some teenagers were giving me an Aditude. I was gonna loose it. Their guardian came though and took them home."
He rested his head on the top of mine. I smiled.
