Chapter 7: Preparing for the fight

The Ultron bots just dropped threw me on the floor, they flew me from the old Hydra Base to... wherever this was. But let's just say, I did not enjoy it. I immediately ran to a sink at threw up as Pietro just got back, carrying Wanda and then putting her on the ground. When I finally stop I rinse my mouth, but I'm immediately pulled back by the Ultron bots and held me back by my arms "Now is it necessary to tie me up even though if I tried to run you can. 1.Immediately catch up to me. 2. Kill me. And 3. Kill me too." Right on que, Ultron, the real Ultron walks in, "Let's just say humans can be very unpredictable..." You looked at the sink, "And disgusting." "I've seen worse, ever watched Walking Dead? That stuff, oooooh-ooh! That is some horrific stuff. Hear they're making a new season." Ultron then closed his eyes for a second before opening it again, "Glenn dies in the next season. Now onto business." Now I was just pissed, Wanda noticed my anger and smiled. I smiled too, don't know why, I just... did. But there was something going on in my head that I did not know the answer to, "Why did you kidnap me? I mean, I'm just a kid from Queens." Ultron turned and looked at me, "A kid with straight A's throughout school and already has a place in college. Kid you are smarter that you may think." He grabbed the scepter from one of the Ultron bots and my heart started pounding in fear, "Hey, hey, hey, hey. What are you doing with that?" I tried backing up, but it didn't help. "Shhhhhhhhh." Wanda was about to step in when Pietro stopped her and whispered, "If you do this, he will kill you." Wanda looked back to see Jake's normal eyes replaced with glowing blue eyes. "You know what to do." Ultron said as he Jake made his way to help Cho. Wanda was starting to get the feeling Jacob was right, as she and Pietro left.

Thor, with a hoodie over his head was waiting by a car, "I'll see you tonight." He turned and saw his old friend Eric Selvig, who noticed Thor waiting by his car, "I like the look." He walked up to his car to get in, "If you're going for inconspicuous though, near miss." "I need your help." "It's nice to be needed." "It's dangerous." He opened the car and put his suitcases in, "I'd be disappointed if it wasn't. Thor smiled and got in.

Back at the Barton farm,

"Ultron took you folks out of play to buy himself time. My contacts all say he is building something." Fury said as Clint's daughter gave Nat, who was sitting by the table, a picture she drew of a butterfly, "The amount of Vibranium he made off with, I don't think it's just for 1 thing." he continued, then Steve said, "What about Ultron himself?" "Oh, he's easy to track. He's everywhere." Fury answered as Tony was taking his darts out of the bullseye, "The guy is multiplying faster than a catholic rabbit. It still doesn't help us get an angle on any of his plans, though." Tony threw a dart, "Is he still going after the launch codes?" "Yes, he is. But he is not making any headway.", he answered, cutting his sandwich, "I cracked The Pentagon's firewall in high school on a dare." "Yeah, I contacted our friends at Nexus about that." Steve was confused, "Nexus?" "It's the world Internet Hub at Oslo. Every byte of data flows through there. Fastest access on Earth." Bruce answered, "So, what did they say?" Clint asked, polishing a dart, "He's fixated on the missiles. But the codes are constantly being changed." "By whom?" Tony asked, just then Clint threw a dart right in the middle of the bullseye in front of Tony's face, who had a shocked expression looked at Clint, who just shrugged, "Parties unknown." "Do we have an ally?" Nat asked, "Ultron's got an enemy. That's not the same thing. Still, I'd pay folding money to know who it is." Tony then cam up, "I might need to visit Oslo. Find our unknown." "Well, this is good times boss, but I was kind of hoping when I saw you, you'd have more than that." Nat said sadly, "I do. I have you. Back in the day, I had eyes everywhere. Ears, everywhere else. You kids had all the tech you could dream up. Here we all are, back on Earth, with nothing but our wit and our will to save the world." Fury said as he walked in between everyone in the middle of the room, "Ultron says that the Avengers are the only thing between him and his mission. And whether or not he admits it, his mission is global destruction. And this, laid in a grave. So stand. Outwit the platinum bastard." "Steve doesn't like that kind of talk." Nat joked, "You know what, Romanoff?" Steve said, to which she just smiled. "So, what does he want?" "To become better. Better than us. He keeps building bodies." "Person bodies. The human form is inefficient. Biologically speaking, we're outmoded. But he keeps coming back to it." Tony explained, while Bruce on the other hand, was looking at the picture Clint's daughter drew for Nat, which was on the table. "When you two programmed him to protect the human race, you amazingly failed." Nat said, until Bruce got it, "They don't need to be protected. They need to evolve." They all looked at him as he looked back, "Ultron's going to evolve." "How?" Fury asked. "Has anyone been in contact with Helen Cho recently?"
