Anthony's Pov

A lot had changed since that summer at Camp Sleepy Creek, I went home and waited for a game request from her, she said she would make an account and send me a request as soon as she got home, on the first day I just assumed she was tired and forget, on the third day I guessed that she was just spending time with her family, after two weeks I gave up, she was just a summer friend. My parents were too focused on comforting my sister after the fight broke out at her school to notice me, the next summer I expected to see her again, but it was no use, she probably moved again, she said that she did that a lot. That was my last year at Camp Sleepy Creek unless I wanted to be a junior counselor next year, which I did not. I thought I would never get the chance to see her again, so you can only imagine my surprise when I got a request from a familiar name the week after I got back from camp.

At the sound of the bell, I looked up at a familiar girl, that was definitely Stevie, she no longer had braces and she lost the two braids she wore daily but I could notice her anywhere. I received a text from her

Stevie J. 🎸
Getting us a table, lmk when you get here :)

I looked a lot different now, I guess we never discussed that before, but I had a growth spurt over the summer, and puberty hit me like a ton of bricks

"Behind you"

I guess a lot had changed about Stevie too, it seemed she grew out of her awkward phase too, her face seemed sharper, and she traded in her meme shirts for crop tops now, it seems puberty hit her pretty hard too. I was at a loss for words when she first sat down, we had talked all last night but now I couldn't think of a single thing to say to her, so I settled for an awkward hi and when she laughed, it's like everything from that summer came back.
