Clash Of The Worlds: The Anomaly

Chapter 2

"Shut it, shut it, shut it down! Shut it!" Mortimer and The Sorceress shut the doors and locked them. "Why did we do that?" "Okay, wait, hold on. There's a scroll here." "The Pharaoh was a kind ruler, but those close to him were not. They killed him using dark magic...and did not understand the evil consequences of their actions. As a Mummy, his mind is a blur of hate and revenge, but only he knows the location of the first jeweled key." "Honestly, this is such a tragic story. That Pharaoh just wanted to be loved and he got backstabbed by some nasty little cretins that he had around him," Joey remarked. "So what do we do? Go back and talk to him?" CJ asked. "Hell no! Are you insane?" Andrea commented. "No, I'm MrBeast's brother." Jimmy laughed.

There's a little box with a cat, a note is in it. "The Pharaoh's cats turn from stone to flesh by the light of the harvest moon and leave footprints of their travels. Their path leads to Egypt's most sacred symbols, which must be painted beneath their feet." "Oh, look there's some paw prints right here!" "Oh! Paw prints on the carpet, too!" "Does it matter which one they go on?" Jimmy asked. "What if the paw prints lead to the symbol it said?" "Look, there's paw prints on this rug!" Once they get all four symbols onto the cats, a box opens. It's a beetle and a note. "The Sands of Egypt hold many secrets and must be journeyed into to find the magic needed to gain control of the Mummy's mind. Place the scarab on the door to enter."

They head over to the Sands Of Egypt. A lady comes out. "What have you done? You've awakened the Mummy." "I didn't... It wasn't..." "It will kill us all!" "Our fault? We just got here." "I was once the Pharaoh's wife and Queen. Now I have nothing. What do you hope to gain by bringing this tortured soul back?" The queen asked. "We're looking for a key with a gem on it. A jeweled key," Matthew told. "The jeweled key drove him mad. And it will do the same to you. But if it will bring him back to a peaceful rest, I will help." Colin sees these two statues in the center of the desert. "Guys, there's a note over here," Michael told.

"The twin sphinx holds the key to the Mummy's mind. The first one lies near the Pharaoh's sarcophagus and the second only could be summoned by placing the golden obelisk here." The group splits up. Joey, Michael, Tareq, Mark, and Andrea go find the first twin sphinx. "There is something the Pharaoh kept hidden from me."The Egyptian Queen opens up this locked box and there's a ruby inside of it. Joey loves crystals, so he is first on the scene. "It's so beautiful." Inside the crystal there was a scroll, so Joey broke a crystal for the better good of the group. "Joey, that was very aggressive!"  "One of the twin sphinxes is locked inside the mystic box and can only be opened by the blood of one responsible for the Mummy's return." 

"The path to truth lies in urns holding the Pharaoh's organs. One at a time, each of you must select an urn and place it in the right location. If correct, the Goddess blinks once. If wrong, she blinks twice and you must try again. Each wrong placement puts your card in the voting pile. The oldest starts, then selects the next to go and so on." Ro, Colin, CJ, Jimmy, and the others go find the golden obelisk. "Where are we going, Mortimer?" Jimmy asked. "I don't know, what does this say" "I think we have to do this." There's an image on the back of the note, and it's a picture of two people standing underneath the doorway doing a pose.

The image in the back of the scroll matched the archway that they were standing next to. So the group poses, and a scroll comes down into CJ's hands."Well, I guess I'll take this one. This one says I eat and I speak," Tareq told. "This one's an eye, this one looks like a leg. This one... It sort of looks like a parrot," Andrea said. "I'm just gonna go with this one." The Goddess blinks twice. "Okay, you have to try again. Try another one. "Wait, this looks like a mouth. That has to be the one!" Mark remarked. "Okay, here we go." Mark places the urn onto the mouth, and the Goddess blinks once. "We got it! Yes!"

Later, the group find themselves back to where they summoned the mummy. "The Staff of the Nile was used by the Pharaoh to determine the guilt of criminals. When touched to their forehead, the crystal will glow if they're guilty. Test everyone in the group." "Put it to Michael's head first." "Okay, let's see if it glows." Joey puts the Staff onto Michael's head. "Anything happening?" "No." One by one, Joey brings it to all of their foreheads. "So who could it be?" "Try the Sorceress." "She's innocent." After they find out it's the wife, Colin runs after her, and shoots her with his gun. 

"Okay, so we have the blood now." They grab the twin sphinx and head over to the lounge. "To recover the jeweled key, two must be chosen by vote to brave the Sands of Egypt. However, you may only choose from among your own group. Friends will betray friends. Discuss among yourselves and then select the card of the person you want forced into the death challenge. Choose wisely. Revenge is a dish best served cold." Everyone starts talking amongst themselves to figure out who they're gonna vote for. Mortimer, who is the card dealer, waits for everyone to vote. After they vote, Mortimer shuffles the cards.

"All right, guys, the first one to the final challenge is... The Strategist, Andrea. The next one is...Lele," Mortimer announced. "Oh, my God." "Whoa, I actually did not see that coming," Michael said. "Good luck, you two!" Everyone else said to Andrea and Tana. They head to the challenge. "Well, here we are." The second they both place their twin sphinxes, a scepter appears. "The Scepter of Isis cannot be touched until one of you has built a pyramid in her name. Gather the pieces and assemble them. The first to do so can claim the scepter and command the Mummy to retrieve the key. However, the Mummy has cursed the sands with flesh-eating beetles and you may only travel on the stones. Stepping on the sand or getting touched by the Mummy will take you out of the challenge for ten seconds."

The challenge starts. "Is that a piece?" "Oh, this is so..." "That's a piece!" "That's disgusting. Oh, gosh!" "Oh, no, oh, no, oh, no." Andrea is jumping around on these stones like a boss. She puts them all together and grabs the scepter as Lele is on her last piece. "Wait, I did it!" "Mummy, stop! Bring me the jeweled key!" Andrea exclaimed. "Your betrayal is not yet complete. You must order the Mummy to kill your friend if you wish to claim the key." "No. I'm not gonna order him to kill Lele..." "We have to do this, Andrea..." "Mummy, I just wanna go home." The Mummy kills Tana. Andrea grabs the key and runs back to the group. Everyone is shocked. "Andrea! What happened?" Mark asked.

"We had to build a thing, and I didn't want Tana to die... and then she died." Mark covered his mouth in shock. "If Mark Rober is speechless, then you know it's insane," Tareq remarked. "Joey, where did she go?" "She's in Hell now," Michael replied. "Hey, do you guys understand what's about to happen? As soon as she puts that in there, one of the exhibits is gonna get unleashed," Matthew told. "Yeah, literally, anything can happen." "Just put it in the slot." "Wait, so now we have..."

"Let's hope we don't drop like flies," Colleen said. Andrea puts the first key and turns it. A box opens. There's this old coin inside the box. "What is it? Do you guys... Can you guys see what it is?" "It looks like bone," Colin said as he picked up the coin. The fog starts creeping into the lounge.
