After running away from Peter I go get my stuff then should tell Gwen thank you for inviting me. As I walk back to the roof I see Peter and her kissing. My heart broke right there so I ran out to go home. I slip that I was in love with him, he kisses me then kisses Gwen. She knew my feelings for him and kissed him. Maybe I was met to be alone, my parents left, my aunt is never around, my best friend has been ditching me, and now my cousin betrays me.

When I get home I see a picture of Peter and me and I just rip it pissed off. As I lay in bed listening to my radio I see my door open to show Peter. "Get out." I tell him.

"I have something to tell you." He sighs.

"If it's about you kissing Gwen after me telling you how I felt about you then you kissing... You can just go home and give me space." I sit up.

"You saw?" He panics.

"I did then ran off... now get out of my house." I cry.

"Maddie." I throw a book at him and he catches it.

"Get out!" I scream at him so he leaves. I curl up into a ball crying till I hear knocking at my window. "I said leave Peter."

"Whose Peter?" I look at my window and see Spider-Man.

"I don't need saving so you can leave too." I get up to close my window but he doesn't let me. "Dude, I don't have time for this." I tell him but he climbs into my room.

"Did this Peter make you cry?" He asks cupping my face.

"Yes, and I don't know you so please don't." I remove his hand.

"Sorry." He apologizes.

"Why are you here?" I ask him sitting on my bed.

"Wanted to see how you are doing after last night." He sits on my floor.

"Good. Pretty sure I'm the only one who sees you as a hero." I laugh.

"I don't think you're that special anymore. I just saved some people on the bridge from a giant lizard." He jumps onto my ceiling sitting on it.

"If your feet are dirty you better get down." I tell him so he does. "I'm glad I'm not the only one who sees you as the hero you are." I smile at him.

"Thank you. Since you were the first to call me a hero... You shall always be special to me."

I laugh at him, "I'm not special." I let him know.

"You are to me." He shoots me with his web pulling me closer to him. "Can I kiss you?" He asks.

"I don't even know you." I laugh at him.

"But you do." He turns off my light and I see him pull up his mask some before leaning into kiss me. As he pulls his mask down he goes to my window swinging away.

"Maddie." Peter rushes after her as she passes him in the hall. To ignore him she goes into the girls bathroom making him huff.

"To my knowledge, your bathroom is that way." Gwen walks up to him. "I'll talk to her for you." Gwen goes into the bathroom.

"That's not a good idea!" Peter shouts but she was already in.

"Maddie." Gwen walks up to her.

"Please don't Maddie me. You kissed him." Madeline starts to cry.

"You came back... Madeline, it's not like that. I didn't kiss him back." Gwen grabs her hand.

"And that's supposed to make me full 100% better? He still kissed you after knowing how I felt about him and kissing me." Madeline laughs.

"You need to let him explain everything to you. Why he kissed me, and his secret."

"He told YOU his secret!" Madeline shouts at her. "I guess you aren't going to tell me it. Wow, you guys are just great." Madeline walks out of the bathroom right into Peter. "I can't believe you, Peter Parker!" She shoves him back making people look at them. "You lied, you broke a promise, you kiss my cousin after kissing me, and you tell her your secret over your best friend. I hate you." Madeline looks him dead in the eyes.

"You don't hate me." Peter whispers to her.

"I want to. I really want to." Madeline heads towards the front doors to skip the rest of the day.

"I have to tell her soon don't I?" Peter sighs as Gwen comes up next to him.

"If you don't you're gonna lose her. And I think her losing one more person in her life isn't going to be hard for her." Gwen sighs too.

"You should try making up with her too." Peter looks at Gwen.

"I will after school but you need to do it tonight. Also how did this happen to you." Gwen whispers to him.

"Oh, I brought it to show you. Let's go outside from everyone." They both walk to the bleaches outside. "Here it is." Peter gives her the spider in a tube.

"It's beautiful." Gwen says making Peter laugh.

"Maddie won't say that because they creep her out at times." Gwen laughs too.

"Well her best friend is basically a spider now." Gwen jokes.

"Well at the moment she wants to hate me so I don't think I'm exactly her best friend at the moment." Peter gets upset. "You don't believe what the police are saying, do you?" Peter changes the topic.

"Of course not but you gonna lay low." Gwen tells him worried about him.

"I can't do that. Last night those people on the bridge. Whatever was attacking them would have killed then. So I gotta go after it." Peter explains to her.

"That's not your job." Gwen tells him.

"Maybe it is. Plus Maddie sees me as a hero so I gonna be a hero. I promise I will talk to her tonight." Peter stands up.

"Peter, keep that promise." Gwen tells him as he walks away.

"Madeline, I know you are home! Let me in!" Gwen keeps knocking on the front door. "Please, can we talk?" I huff opening the door. "I get it. You're sorry an-," She cuts me off.

"Let me speak will you! You are going to sit down and you are going to let me say what I have to say. You are not going to cut in or interrupt me." Gwen points her finger at me as she pushes me to sit on the couch. "I told him to go out there and make up with you, but he's a guy so he just made it worse. He only told me the secret because I caught something he let slip. I told him to tell you the truth but I won't do it because it's not my place. I can say that he doesn't want you to know because it will only make you worry about him more. He promised me he will tell you tonight." Gwen tells me.

"Maybe he'll keep his promise to you." I huff.

"He only kissed me to see if he felt anything with me like he felt with you. And he didn't because he has feelings for you, Maddie. I understand you are upset with me because I can't tell you and that he kissed me but I don't like him that way. I want you both to get together. I know we just found we're family but we still are and I won't do that to you." Gwen sits next to me.

"I forgive you." I look at her.

"Are you gonna forgive him?" She asks me.

"Yes, but I don't want to so fast because he hurt me." I sigh.

"You will understand when he explains everything to you." Gwen hugs me then leaves me alone.
