Ch 17: Full Bloom

A whole day had passed since you and the rest of team CFVY arrived back in Beacon from the Yomi clan's village. Needless to say your absence had not gone unnoticed and on your arrival the lot of you were greeted to the sight of not only Professor Goodwitch and Headmaster Ozpin but also Professor Port and General Ironwood, while you had a lot to answer for that had to be put on hold due to a emergency siren coming from the city.

A large group of grimm had found their way into the city with the help of Roman Torchwick and white fang, If it wasn't for the efforts of team RWBY things would've been more worse for wear, with the back up from several other student teams including team CFVY and the academy Professors, the grimm were repelled and the infamous Roman Torchwick was taken into custody. Still even with all that said and done the only matter left was what to do with you.

Beacon
Ozpin's Office

Goodwitch: You mean to tell us that Miss Scarletina had been kidnapped and you took it upon yourself to rescue her without notifying any of us?

Ironwood: I've said that having this one around would only bring trouble to the students.

Port: Come now, Jame surely you can see that the boy more than proved himself by safely bringing back his teammates.

Ironwood: He's a liability! Rash and disobedient the safest course of action would be to arrest him and be down with it.

Ozpin: James while I respect your opinion, might I remind you that you are here in Vale as a guest and thus the disciplinary actions of my students aren't up to you.

Ironwood: Oz you can't be seriously thinking of pardoning him, he could've cost you one of your students.

Ozpin: Be he didn't and the way I see Y/n has more than earned the right to-

You: Excuse me but if I may?

All the Professors turned their attention fully on you as you clenched your shackled hands in front of you.

You: (bowing head slightly) First I'd like to offer my sincerest apologies for the trouble I caused, it was never my intention for any harm to come to team CFVY.

There was a brief silence as you raised your head and having your eyes lock with the headmaster.

You: But be that as it may they I believe the team grew and learned from the experience as for myself I had plenty of chances to run but I chose to remain here. I believe there's still much I can learn along side my team.

Ozpin: I see... well then the only matter left to discuss is an appropriate punishment, Glynda.

Glynda: (sighs) Yes sir, students who leave the campus without prior approval are subject to three weeks of custodial work. I do believe professors Peach has been requesting more help in the greenhouse.

Timeskip

Before Y/n had joined their team Velvet had never really entered the Beacon greenhouse much, plant science was a class that most forth years took before taking their field studies, which revolved around team's traveling throughout the kingdoms and taking on certain grade missions. Now that Velvet thought about it Professor had once approached her about making a brochure to advertise to class.

???: Hey Velvet, what brings you here.

Velvet's ear twitched as she turned to the sound of the voice, standing behind her holding a basket of different  plants was Iris Marilla, another second year like Velvet.

Velvet: Oh hi Iris, I was just looking for Y/n I heard that he would be here.

Iris: Oh you just missed him, he went out to get more fertilizer.
