Ch 15: Shura Yomi

Blood doesn't always make a family, Aline Yomi would know that better than most. During the time of the previous Yomi clan leader Ixon Yomi, Aline and her brother were treated as soldiers instead of children, it wasn't long that Aline had ran away from her torment and ended up being taken in by the Yoko clan, despite her background the clan treated her well until her father caught wind. This led to the first war between clans which ended in the Yoko's victory.

You watched as she stood uncomfortably in front of the members of team CFVY after telling them that she's the younger sister of the person who kidnapped their teammate. You tried to examine the faces of the others but they weren't easy to read. It was Coco who stepped up to speak first.

Coco: Ok and?

Aline: And? Aren't you upset?

Coco: Yeah, I am. But it's not like you were apart of it so why would we take it out on you?

Aline: *skeptical* Are all hunters really this trusting especially after learning that their sibling was the one that kidnapped their friend?

Coco: Look I'm not going to hold what your brother did against you, I have three brothers myself so I know how much of a pain they can be. All I want to know is can you help us get our friend back?

Aline shuffled uncomfortably but nodded at Coco's question.

Coco: Then don't you worry your pretty little head about the minor details. Besides you guys weren't half bad back there in the forest but Yatsu and I weren't giving it our all and you haven't even seen what this one's made of yet.

She finishes by slapping Fox on the back. Aline and Clive both looked skeptical and turned to look Y/n who nodded in affirmation.

Coco: Besides Velvet isn't so helpless that she'd give in to some bandit leader.

Aline: While I doubt he'd do anything to hurt her but you shouldn't take my brother lightly. There's a reason why the Yomi tribe controls the mountain pass to Mistral, even the kingdom is hesitant to do much.

Clive: True but Shura is practically inviting us. Maybe it's to get to you.

You: It very well could be.

While you and the others pondered, the curtain to the tent opened and Flynn walked in, he smiled wide at seeing Aline

Flynn: Aline it's good to see you. *to Y/n* I see you convinced her, cool now let's get going.

Clive: Wait, I'll be coming along too.

Flynn: What no- come on Y/n be reasonable that's a lot of pressure on me.

You: Can you not do it?

Flynn: I mean, I can but-

You: Then it's fine, feel free to eat something before we leave but Clive will be coming with us.

Flynn sighed in defeat realizing her had no choice in the matter.

Flynn: Fine whatever just come find me when you're all ready.

You: *to Coco* I'll be out in a bit, I just need to talk to my father.

Coco: *sighs* Fine but don't take too long.

You nodded at Coco as the others followed her out leaving just you and your father.

You: Father I-

Kuzan: You don't plan on returning to us are you?

You: I'm not... at least not right now.

Kuzan: This girl that you came to rescue from Shura, is she someone special to you.
