Ch 16: Yoko Vs Yomi

Ear splitting cheers echoed throughout the arena, so much so that Velvet had to hold her faunus ears down to at least try to think straight. The situation had took a left turn so fast she wasn't sure how to feel, first she was suckered into participating in this tournament by Shura, but before she knew it she was having fun, sure her first opponent saw her as an easy win but after she beat him the crowd began cheering her name and with every win after that she grew more addicted to the thrill. This Gave Velvet a feeling that she never felt before even with team CFVY.

Then everything changed when Shura entered the arena, thinking that she was going to fight him next, Velvet's heart skipped when she saw Y/n entering the arena, his eyes flicked to her for only a moment as he pointed his chin to the stands before he went right back to glaring at Shura. Velvet looked to the stands to see her team and quickly ran over.

Velvet: Guy's you're here! You don't know how happy I am to see you, but how did you all find me?

Coco: Come on V do you honestly think we wouldn't notice our adorable bunny went missing. We would've torn Remnant apart if we had to just to find you.

Velvet chuckled awkwardly.

Fox: (telepathy) Yeah you had us worried, only for us to get here and see that you're a crowd favorite, not bad Velvet. But is Y/n going to be ok? That guy has an absurdly huge aura and there's something weird about his weapon, it's almost like it's got an aura of its own.

Yatsu: (aloud) More aura doesn't necessarily mean that he's a better fighter, after all we've seen Y/n fight and-

From beside Yatsu Aline stood up, her knuckles practically white from how hard she was gripping the railing.

Aline: I can't believe he's using that thing. Shura are you trying to kill him!?

Velvet's eyes met Aline's and the other girl immediately glared down at her much to Velvet's confusion.

Velvet: Um excuse me but who are you?

Aline: I'm Aline Yomi, Shura's younger sister and a long time friend of Y/n. So you're the one who caused all this fuss.

Velvet: Oh, I'm-um well it's nice to meet you.

Aline scoffs and focuses back on the arena, from behind her Clive who was a lot more welcoming greets the rabbit faunus.

Clive: Hey I'm Clive by the way, so you're the one the boss was up in arms about saving. (Snickers) First time ever seeing him so worked up, it was a sight to see.

Velvet: He was?

Clive suddenly doubled over after getting an elbow to his ribs, he glared at his companion who didn't even acknowledge him. Glancing at Velvet from the corner of her eyes Aline focused back on the arena.

Aline: Stop being an idiot and focus. If things go south we might have to do something drastic just to get out of this mess.

Yatsu: Drastic how?

Coco: How else, we fight our way out of course.

Velvet chuckled nervously knowing that Coco was more than likely serious in what she said, she then turned back to watch the two men standing across from one another in the arena. Y/n's expression was unreadable, Shura on the other hand looked like he couldn't have been happier at the turn of events, just then his eyes brightly caught hers and he winked before focusing back at Y/n.

Shura: Alright Y/n, let's get this party started!

Starting things off with a bang, Shura smashed his hammer to the ground, the earth shook violently as multiple stone spike erupted up in front of him and he wasted no time smashing his hammer against them. Dozens of stone shards flew at Y/n with frightening speed, unfazed he slid a green thorn vine from his sleeve and with deadly accuracy he knocked the shards out of the air. The crowd was in gasps but even more cheered at the impressive display of skill and precision.
