Lillian sat miserably on the bus by herself, in front of Mary Jane Watson and her douchebag boyfriend Flash Thompson. They were unnecessarily loud and rude, especially to her. She wanted to be anywhere but here, school sucked.

Laying her head against the window, something caught her eye. It was Peter Parker, running after the bus, trying to get on.

"Stop the bus!" Peter shouted. "Get them to stop the bus!"

Everyone started to laugh, even the bus driver. This annoyed Lillian.

"Hey! He is trying to get on the bus!" Lillian shouted at the driver.

The driver rolled his eyes and slowly stopped. The doors opened and Peter walked on the bus. He slowly eyed everyone looking for a spot. Someone threw something at him and he was being called names.

The only spot open was by Lillian. They made eye contact, Lillian nodded her head to approve of him sitting there. Peter sat down next to her.

"Thanks for letting me sit here, sorry if it bothers you," Peter stumbled over his words a bit.

"It's no problem at all, it doesn't bother me," Lillian spoke softly.

Lillian smiled but tried to hide it, she had a small crush on Peter. But she'll never have a chance. He is obsessed with Mary Jane Watson, although he'll never have her. So why can't he just notice her?

They made it to the museum. Lillian could've gone with her brother Harry and her father Norman in the car, but she didn't want anybody to think she was a spoiled brat. She didn't want anybody to notice her, except one person.

Lillian stood in the back, behind Peter Parker as they walked up to the entrance. Harry and Norman arrived too. They got out of the car and Lillian just kept walking, avoiding her dad and brother, to avoid attention. Peter fell behind to speak with them because he is Harry's best friend.

Lillian didn't have any friends. She had Harry, but everyone knows that your siblings don't count as your friends. Her and her father, Norman, didn't have the best relationship. Norman always favored Harry and she didn't know why. When she was little, Mary Jane used to be her best friend. But also everyone knows the story of getting popular and abandoning your best friend.

She walked in alone, waiting for Harry to find her, partially waiting for Peter, too. She wanted to be around him, maybe then he'd finally see her. However, she didn't want to seem desperate. She had a crush, but wasn't obsessed.

Finally after what felt like forever, Harry and Peter joined her in the tour of spiders. Peter stood between Lillian and Harry.

"Hey Lilly," Harry greeted his sister.

"Hey," Lillian smiled at him. "Hello, Peter."

Fumbling the camera in his hands, he spoke, "Oh, hey Lillian."

Peter smiled at her. She felt butterflies at the way he said her name. She tried hard to not turn red.

The tour guide began to talk about different spiders and their differences from the others. Peter tried to take a picture for the school paper, but Flash Thompson bumped into him, messing up the shot.

Lillian couldn't believe that Peter just let people treat him like that. She kept quiet. They made it to another section of spiders, he tried to take another shot and again, Flash bumped into him.

"Hey, leave him alone," Lillian demanded, eyeing Flash dangerously.

Flash just laughed, which bothered Lillian, but she stayed quiet. She didn't want to cause a scene.

"Oh, uh, thanks for that," Peter looked at Lillian.

"Um, anytime," Lillian smiled.

They started to head somewhere else, Peter stayed behind asking Mary Jane if he could take her photo for the 'school newspaper'. We all know why he was taking those pictures. Lillian felt a sting of jealousy as she had to keep walking away, wishing he would want to take her picture instead.

She caught up with Harry.

"Where's Pete?" Harry asked.

"Taking pictures of Mary Jane," Lillian spoke with a sour taste in her mouth.

"What? Are you jealous?" Harry asked before gasping. "You totally have a crush on Peter."

"No I don't," she snapped back defensively.

"Hmm, okay," Harry smirked.

"Please don't tell him," Lillian frowned.

"Your secret is safe with me," Harry slightly elbowed his sister.

She smiled softly, relieved to have someone to tell, but scared that Harry would let it slip. It would be embarrassing if he knew, because he most certainly didn't feel the same.

Soon, the field trip was over and Norman arrived to pick up his kids. Harry and Lillian got in the car.

"Hey guys, how was the field trip?" Norman asked.

"Good," they both replied.

"Learn some cool stuff?" he questioned.

"Yeah," Harry said.

"What about you Lilly? Did you have fun or learn anything new?" he looked through the mirror at his daughter.

"Yeah, I guess," Lillian shrugged. "Spiders are pretty interesting."

"Oh, really?" he smiled.

Lillian nodded. They got home. Lillian went to her room and layed down. She grabbed her journal and began to write about her day. It was a pretty good day so far, she got to be around Peter a lot.

Someone knocked her door.

"Come in," she spoke, closing her journal.

Harry walked in and sat at the edge of her bed.

"Oh god, what do you want?" she sighed.

"So," he began. "Peter?"

Harry chuckled as Lillian threw her pillow at him.

"Rule number one; we will never speak about this again," Lillian put her hands over her face.

"Rule number 2?"

"He will never find out," she said.

"Why not? If he doesn't know you guys will never get together," Harry frowned.

"You're only saying that cause you want Mary Jane for yourself and you know he likes her," Lillian scoffed. "You promised you wouldn't tell him, too."

"That is definitely not why," Harry laughed. "I mean I do like MJ, but Peter doesn't have a chance with her, me on the other hand..."

"Gross," Lillian pretended to gag. "I hate Mary Jane."

"But why?" Harry asked.

"You know why," Lillian frowned.

"I do. But maybe you guys just drifted. Maybe she isn't as bad as she seems," Harry rambled.

"Or maybe I wasn't cool enough for her. Maybe that's why she ditched me for the popular kids without saying a single word to me in years," Lillian snapped.

Harry stayed silent. He didn't know what to say.

"I'm sorry for bringing it up. You didn't deserve that. You're the coolest person I know, okay? I'm not even lying either," Harry chuckled.

Lillian laughed softly, "Thank you. But still, me and Peter are never gonna happen."

"Never say never," Harry smirked. "You should talk to him."

Lillian sat quietly, considering that.

"Okay I'm gonna go find a snack. See you later," Harry left her room.
