❝ JUST A GAME ❞

    ✶━━━TWO MONTHS LATER

KARL SAT LOOKING AT THE BRACELET INFRONT OF HIM full of guilt. The original plan was for Karl to dm her on twitter something along the lines of "Hey Forrest! Forgot to give you your bracelet, wanna meet up?"

But he was too anxious to send the message.

When (after three weeks) he built up the courage to message her, he realized he had waited an uncomfortable amount of time to message her about it. He scoured his brain for reasonable excuses to message her, but he couldn't think of anything that wouldn't be horrifically embarassing.

He had to think of a way of telling he had her bracelet without actually having the reach out to her—- so he used his platform to his advantage.

He started wearing the bracelet on streams, in any picture he posted on social media, etc.

–-And he did it, over and over, for weeks.

Karl glanced over at Forrest's twitter–which had practically become a daily routine. He never followed her or interacted with her occasional tweet, he just stared at her profile and considered dming her.

But he never did.

He couldn't figure out why she hadn't dmed him about the bracelet, he knew she knew he had it. Because she would like the occasional tweets of him wearing the bracelet– it's like she knew he was watching.

It irked him, it was like a game to her. They both knew, but still he couldn't bring himself to dm her.

Nine hours away sat Forrest in a similar position– staring at her twitter dms. She first became aware of her missing bracelet three days after the video was filmed. She didn't want to dm him about it– due to his following he wouldn't see the dms anyways.

She had given up hope on the bracelet during the following weeks until she stumbled upon a karl selfie. Where he was wearing her bracelet.

She shot up suddenly, instantly checking if he had dmed her about it. He hadn't. Maybe he hadn't noticed.

The same night he streamed—she had started tuning into them after the short lived day of friendship— he was wearing the bracelet still.

She turned her head quizzically, sitting up in her chair.

"'Where'd you get the bracelet! btw i love your streams'" He read the donation, clearly a bit frazzled.
