"You're up early." Macy said as I sat down. "Must've been my cooking! How are those boo-boos of yours?" I couldn't help but smile.
"My 'boo-boos' are alright." She gave her sweet chuckle. Her cooking was better than our mom's. Speaking of patents, mine are in London. They visit time to time. I'm sure they're having a lovely time being ex-pats over in England. I dropped my fork and it made a clank against the tile. I got down to grab it. When I came up again Macy was right there.
"Here you go sugar!" Sugar? She's never called my that before. I looked into her eyes. They were clouded, like she wasn't actually looking at me.
"Thanks....." I told her strangely. She took the dirty fork into the kitchen.

"CRASH" I looked into the kitchen. And saw Macy frowning. She just stood there muttering to herself.
"Stupid girl.....I'm not.....Listen.....let go.....No..." I walked up to her. She has dropped a dirty plate.
"Macy?" She snapped out of her little trance.
"Yes? Oh, sorry!" She started to hum. I wobbled back to my chair and continued to eat. Over a minutes time her humming got more and more aggressive. She was humming so loud I couldn't even hear the tv on its loudest setting.
"MACY!" Macy stopped and coughed up blood. "M-Macy?!" I ran to her. At this time blood was coming out of her mouth. "Tell me what's wrong!" Macy didn't speak, but instead grabbed her throat. I had the feeling she snapped a vocal cord. I grabbed her a blood-towel and pulled her to the car. We got in and drove to the hospital.

I sped a couple red lights, to Macy's displeasure. We got to Jewish in a matter of minutes. Rushing her into the emergency room I tripped. I landed one chest. We heard a snap and I started to cough up blood. My rib punctured my lung. I was NOT having a good time. A doctor and some nurses came to Macy's and my aid.

They were taking me back on a stretcher. The white walls and ceiling passed by me.
"Macy......Snapped.......Vocal.......Cord." I had to speak between coughs.

Just then, my world went black.
