Lilys P.O.V

I feel my cheek stinging, he just slapped the mess out of me

"What is wrong with you? Why did you hit me?" I asked
he just kept driving not paying attention to me anymore, then I started crying cause I was scared and my cheek hurt

Just got to my house

I jumped out of his car and slammed the door and ran inside, I ran upstairs to my bathroom to look at my face, there's a red hand print across my cheek. what if my mom ask what happened she knows I was with Josh and I don't want to tell her. so I went in my bedroom and locked my door and went to sleep.

The next morning

I got up and looked at my face there's a bruise. what am I suppose to do I can't cover it up with make up. I'll just say I fell im very clumsy so people will believe it. then I went to get in the shower.

At school

Ja'marwins P.O.V

Lily walked in with a bruise on her cheek. I ran up to Lily.

"Lily what happened? Who did this?" I asked looking at her cheek

"Ja'marwin quit trippin I feel yesterday trying to run up my stairs" said Lily laughing

"Lily if someone is hurting me you need to tell me before things get worse" I said

"Nobody hit me dang I just told you what happened" she said getting angry

"Okay" I said trying not to get into an argument with her

Lilys P.O.V

Ugh Ja'marwin wouldn't leave me alone about my bruised cheek. I just told her I fell trying to run up stairs.

"Have you seen Josh today?" I asked Ja'marwin

"No why? You haven't texted him?" asked Ja'marwin

"No" I said looking down

"Lily are you sure your okay?" she asked looking me dead in my eyes

"Okay Ja'mariwn you can't tell nobody this you gotta promise me" I said seriously

"Yes I promise" Ja'marwin said

"Well I didn't fall," I paused for a minute "Josh um slapped me yesterday" I said looking down and about to cry

"Wtf why didn't you tell me?" said Ja'marwin I could tell she was pissed

"I was scared and embarrassed im sorry I lied to you" I said crying

"Don't be sorry he will be sorry" Ja'marwin said she was thinking of how to hurt him

"Please don't say anything about it to him" I said as we started walking toward the bathroom

"I won't say anything but if he ever does it again you better tell me" Ja'marwin said getting louder

"Ja'marwin shh before some one hears you" I said with my finger over my mouth telling her to quite down

"Okay and wanna leave, I really don't be here and we needa talk and I'm hungry" she said rubbing her belly

"Yeah let's go but wait till the next bell so no one will see us leave" I said grabbing her arm so she wouldn't walk out of the bathroom

The second bell rang, we walked out and right when we turned the corner we saw Josh. just perfect just the person I want to see. He ran up to us.

"Omg what happened babe" said Josh looking surprised

he was trying to act like he didn't know what happened

"Josh you don't have to play I told her what happened" I said looking him dead in his eyes

"I'm so sorry baby it won't ever happen again I love you so much babe" He said hugging me tight. then after he said that couldn't help but start crying.

I didn't know what to say cause I wasn't gonna say its okay cause it's not.

"I love you too" I said wiping my tears and broke the hug

"We have to go" said Ja'marwin pulling my arm

"Where are yall going?" asked Josh grabbing my other arm

"Idk where just not being here" I said yanking my arm away from him. after I did that he got mad and clinched his fist making me nervous. I turned around and grabbed Ja'marwin and walked out of school to my car.

"Lily why did you grab me like that?" she asked after we got into the car

"He was getting angry, didn't you see his fist clench up?" I asked

"No I wasn't paying attention really, I was thinking about stuff" she said

"You wanna tell me what you were thinking about?" I asked

"We'll just a lot of stuff has been going on at home" she said looking down like she was about to cry

"Like what? Are you okay?" I asked pulling her head up

"Just my mom and step dad have been arguing and stuff" she said looking back down

"What have they been arguing about?" I asked

"Just everything. Can we please stop talking about it" she said gettin mad

"Okay where do you want to eat?" I asked as I started driving out of the school parking lot

"I don't care" she said

"Wing stop?" I asked

"Sure" she said

We went to wing stop and ate then I went back to her house. Her mom and step dad came in and they were arguing. They we heard a smack, we both ran out of her room and down stairs into the kitchen, we see her mom on the floor, unconscious and her step dad running out the front door. Ja'marwin ran up to her mom.

"Momma wake up please momma wake up" she yelled crying and shaking her mom "Call the police" she yelled

I pulled my fone out and called she police "911 what's your emergency"
"Yes ma'am my friends mom and step dad were arguing and her step dad hit her mom and now she's unconscious" "Okay what's your address" "1713 northwood street" "okay stay calm and don't move her mom police are on the way" I hung up.

"Ja'marwin police are on the way and she said don't move your mom" I said, she just stared at her mom crying. I squared down beside Ja'marwin and tried comfort her.

The police and ambulance got to her house and came in with a bed on wheels and picked up her mom and put her on there and put her in the ambulance car. The cop stayed in the house and kept asking us questions about what happened and both told them what happened. They left and we went to the hospital. The car ride was silent.
