'You never realise what you have until you lose it'
I never fully understood this till now,
I never fully knew what you meant to me until now,
This bittersweet feeling,
After finding what I lost,
It hurts,
But mostly I'm glad,
That I got the chance to find you,
Before I completely lost you,
Before you left my side,
And before you could only be seen in the stars,
No tears fall for your loss,
For I have found your importance, your meaning,
I have never called you a friend,
In my mind or with my breath,
But I realise now,
You have always been in my heart,
Only hidden, we were never apart,
To see you leave,
Burns me,
But to see you go and know your value,
Without that burden,
Of not discovering you,
Will, with time,
Heal me.
