A Real Friend
They say a real friend shares your fears,
That they cry with you,
Laugh when you fall,
So what do you call,
A friend who does none of that?
That cares about you,
That's a killjoy,
Helps you up,
Returns what they've borrowed,
Would never, ever break a promise,
When you argue with feels torn,
A friend who hates to see you cry,
Which one is the real friend?
Are they both?
Which one is the most real?
Aren't they both?
Because you need both to be happy,
At least I do,
And I'd never give either of them up,
'Cause, they may seem different,
But inside, when it comes to friendship,
We're all the same,
And in all our hearts,
We know,
A real friend is someone you can't live without,
That real friends aren't judged by labels,
And that real friends are felt in the heart.
