You were reading your book quietly, not caring about whatever was going around as you were immersed. Comfortably installed in your bed, you mentally teleported into the book's universe and made scenarios of what was happening while reading. You even forgot someone was in the same room as you.

"Will you keep ignoring me or what?" Camilo spoke as he looked at you, his tone of voice indicating that he was bored. The sudden question made you jump in surprise. "Yeah, yeah, sorry. Just let me finish my page." You answered but didn't even bother to look up from your novel.

You finished the last sentence and like promised, you closed your book and put it on your nightstand. You sighed due to the fact you wanted to keep reading since you were about to reach the climax, but Camilo was your guest and it wouldn't be fair to him.

"So, what do you want to do then?" You asked.

"Kiss you." He said with a provocative smile. "Never heard something that funny." Your tone was dripping with sarcasm and you rolled your eyes. You weren't in the mood to deal with his annoying behavior right now.

Both of you sat on your bed, not moving or saying anything. The atmosphere was a little bit awkward since you two didn't have anything to do until your stomach rumbled and broke the silence between you and him.

Camilo chuckled as he heard it. "Okay, I get it. Let's go get some food." He took your hand and dragged you around your house. He knew his way around since he had been here so often that it was like his home too.

Camilo quickly eyed me and noticed my cheeks going red due to our contact. "Enjoying this a little bit too much as I see." He laughed softly. "Oh shut up, Camilo." I scoffed.

After you two ate, you went outside for a little bit before coming back to your house. Your gossip session about the village with Camilo was interrupted when a knock was heard on your door and it slowly opened to reveal your mom.

"Camilo dear, it's getting late, would you like to sleep over?" She offered him a gentle smile. The boy looked at you for permission and when you nodded, he accepted your mom's offer. "Of course! Thank you for the invitation miss M/L/N (your mom's last name)" Camilo answered, smiling back at your mom politely.

"How many times do I have to tell you? Just call me by my name! Y/n, there is a mattress in the basement. You can bring it up there so your friend can sleep on it. Camilo, your clothes and stuff have already been dropped off by Mirabel. You can pick them up at the front door. Als-"

"Mom, can you just leave us, please?" It wasn't your intention to sound bitter or mean, but your mom never knew when to stop talking, which annoyed you at times. "Yes, honey. Sorry, I know I never stop talking but that's-"

"MOM!" You waved her hand and pointed to your door, indicating her to leave. "Okay! Okay! I'm leaving. Have fun!" Your mother exited the bedroom.

"You know, you should be nicer to your mom, niña bonita." Camilo said as he nudged you playfully.

Niña bonita? Does he have anything better to do than find stupid nicknames?

You walked out of the room, leaving your friend alone. "Anyways, let's go. Oh, and don't you dare call me that again, I am not your girlfriend."

"Don't put me on a challenge, you know I'll win." Camilo bragged with a teasing smile plastered all over his face. You stopped in your tracks and turned around to look at him with an unimpressed look.

You said nothing while looking at him and just turned around again and Camilo followed you. "Go take your things and put them in my room, join me in the basement after."
