Chapter 11

~time skip to Friday~
School went by fast and at the end of the day I meet Mahogany at her car.
"Hey," I say and get into the car.
"Hey, Kamryn said her French teacher let them out let so she'll be here in a few minutes," Mahogany tells me.
"Ok," I say and start staring out the window. I really hope I get to go to a Halloween party this year, after all it is my last year of high school. My thoughts are interrupted my Kamryn's voice.
"Hey gals!" She says while getting in the backseat.
"Hey Kamryn!" Mahogany and I say.
"Is Chloe coming?" I ask.
"No, something came up," Mahogany explains.
"Okay," I say.
"So what are we doing this evening?" Kamryn ask.
"Costume shopping then we can go to my house and watch movies!" Mahogany says.
"Is there Mean Girls?" Kamryn ask seriously.
"One and two on blue ray," Mahogany tells her.
"You've got yourself a deal," Kamryn says and they both laugh.
"Where's the nearest costume shop?" Mahogany ask.
"The nearest one is called 'Nightmare' and it's on 21st Street," I reply.
"To Nightmare we go!" Mahogany announces.

After a 10 minute drive we're in the parking lot of the costume shop, Mahogany parks her car and we all get out.
"Do you guys know what you want to dress up as?" Kamryn asks.
"Bat woman," Mahogany replies.
"A sexy doctor," I say.
"I wanna be Snow White," Kamryn says.
"That sounds like a cute costume," I say.
"I'm going more for the sexier version this year," she says and we all giggle. We walk into the costume shop and go straight to the women's section. I pick up a white lab coat which is going to be a part of my costume.
"Hey, Ally! I found you a stethoscope," Mahogany says and hands me a fake stethoscope in a package.
"Thanks," I say then sigh.
"What's wrong?" Mahogany asks concerned.
"My parents are never going to let me out of the house in this," I say.
"A lab coat and stethoscope?" she asks confused.
"Yeah, but I wanted to wear a short black skirt and black pumps," I explain. "my dad would have a cow if he saw me in that!"
"Then make sure he doesn't see it," she says slyly and I shoot her a confused look.
"What I'm saying is leave the house in something innocent, and change in my car," she explains.
"I like the way you think, Mahogany," I say.
"Why thank! I'm going to find Kamryn and tell her we're ready to check out," she says.
"Okay," I say. I sit on the bench that's in the store and wait for Kamryn and Mahogany to come back. My phone rings indicating that someone text me. It's JJ.

👱- hey, Sammy's having a Halloween party on the 31st and you, Kamryn, Chloe, and Mahogany invited
💁- two parties in one year that I'm invited to?!?! Is Ashton Kutcher about to pop out and tell me I'm on "Punk'd"?

💁- idk I'll have to check my schedule. 😏 jk I'm coming, see you on Monday.
~end of convo~
"Are you ready?" Kamryn asks.
"Yeah, and we're all invited to Sammy's Halloween party," I tell them.
"You wanna go?" Mahogany asks.
"I do, I mean we do have costumes," I say.
"What about you, Kamryn?" Mahogany asks.
"It probably will be more fun than taking my brother trick or treating," she says and shrugs.
"It's settled, we're going!" Mahogany cheers.
"We still have to ask Chloe," I chime in.
"We'll ask her on Monday," Kamryn says.
"Alright, let's go to check out," I say and we walk to the check out. We pay for our costumes and leave out of the store. We get in Mahogany's car and she drives us back to her house.
"Ya'll wanna order pizza?" She asks as she parks in the driveway.
"Sure," Kamryn and I say in unison. We walk in the house and go upstairs to Mahogany's room.
"Can I go change out of my school clothes?" I asks Mahogany.
"Of course, the bathroom is two doors down on the left," she tells me. I walk out of her room and into the bathroom. I change out of my school clothes and into a pair of sweatpants and shirt that hangs over my shoulders. Once I'm done I walk back down the hall and into Mahogany's room.
"The pizza should be here in about 25 minutes they said," Mahogany says as i walk into the room.
"Thank goodness, I'm starving!" I say.
"I'm going to go change out of my school clothes, I'll be right back," Kamryn says.
"Alright," Mahogany says. After about five minutes Kamryn comes back into Mahogany's room.
"Ya'll ready to get this sleepover started?" Mahogany.
"Yes!" Kamryn and I cheer. Mahogany puts Mean Girls in the DVD player and we all sit on the floor, and right when Cady is about to get invited to the mall, there's a knock on the door.
"Probably the pizza, I'll get it," Mahogany tells us. Five minutes later she comes back up with the pizza and three plates. She hands us all a plate and sits the pizza in the middle of us.
"Okay, before we start the movie again, let's talk crushes!" She says.
"Okay!" Kamryn happily agrees.
"So, Kamryn, who's your crush?" Mahogany asks a gives Kamryn a smirk.
"Okay, well, there's this super cute guy in my calculus class, his name is Bryan and he's so sweet, but I'm so shy," Kamryn explains.
"Go for it, girl!" Mahogany says.
"So who's your crush, Mahogany?" Kamryn asks.
"Well, there's this really hot guy in my English class named Cody and he's so down to earth," Mahogany explains.
"Awww, Mahogany, you're blushing!" Kamryn says and Mahogany looks down at the floor.
"So what about you Alison?" Mahogany asks. Oh god, I've been dreading this moment.
"Jack Johnson," I mumble under my breath so no one can hear me.
"Who?" Kamryn asks confused.
"Jack Johnson," I say slowly and clearly. The whole room goes silent, great, just the reaction I was hoping for!
