After I left the room, I let out the most shakiest breath

After I left the room, I let out the most shakiest breath. My heart was hammering in my chest, and my palms were sweating. I was thankful for the very lengthy and detailed note that Saint left for me. I didn't think I would be able to walk into that room, threaten the most dangerous men, and walk out with no longer having to fear that they were chasing after me on my own. I felt free.

"Are you okay?" Leo asked, noticing how I stopped dead in my tracks.

I waved my hand dismissively. "I just can't believe that happened." I laughed, but it wasn't because anything was funny. I laughed because I was in pure shock.

"You did amazing. I had never seen Saint look so proud," Leo stated.

The smile that spread across my face was uncontrollable. There was a warmth that gathered in my heart at the sound of Leo's words. He was proud of me.

"Let's get you home before Don catches me speaking to you." Leo chuckled.

He walked behind me as I headed over to Leo's car. It matched his personality-simple yet elite. It was a black Audi that I couldn't help but fall in love with. Thanks to all the money Saint had been paying me, it was going to be the first thing I bought right after I found my mother.

He held open the passenger side for me. After I slipped into the vehicle, he shut the door just before walking around the car and getting in.

"Seat belt," he said as he started up the vehicle.

I chuckled and reached for the seat belt just before clicking it in. I was beginning to like Leo. At first, he gave me more of an asshole-vibe, but after warming up to him, he was pretty cool. I guess with all the rules Saint gave him, it was hard to be friendly.

I leaned back in the seat as the rumble of the engine purred beneath me. The sun was rising and the birds were chirping. It was so beautiful to watch.

"What kind of music do you listen to?" Leo asked. I turned to face him just as he reached for the radio.

"You're going to think I'm lame," I mumbled.

"If I think that, I'm sure Don will rip my head off. I don't like to drive in silence. So, what do you listen to?" he asked.

"Classical."

He glanced over at me with raised brows. It wasn't a common answer amongst anyone. However, classical music was the most telling. I loved how sound could move a soul, proving that actions were always above any word. It was peaceful, emotional, raw. It was everything I needed when I was younger, and especially everything I needed now.

Leo only nodded his head and turned on his radio. He went to a station that played Bach, and all I could do was close my eyes and enjoy the heavenly music.
