Me and buck started dating not long after dad brought me onto the team a little over a year ago, "buck, why can't you put your shirts in rainbow order when you put them away" I called out from the closet. " what's gotten into you, it's like your nesting or something" he commented leaning on the door frame.
I dropped the shirts I was holding, I've seen this before with mom. Things need to be a certain way, complaining about small things. When it hit me I rushed out of the room "y/n" bucky called out close on my heels "DAD!" I yelled out, I found him and Nat in the living room.
I grabbed him by the arms and yelled "I'M NESTING" once he figured it out a giant smile graced his face "your what" Nat asked, "nesting, at first I thought I was late because of stress from the missions but now I'm nesting and-"
" Woah, breath bunny" dad tried to calm me down "let's go have bruce run a test and see before you freak out ok?" Bucky stepped forward "test? What's wrong with her Clint" dad just smiled and dragged me into the lab "out Tony," dad said "you can't kick me out of my own lab birdman"
"Yes I can, now out" Tony looked at me and I guess the look on my face freaked him out because he was out in 3 seconds flat "what's wrong" bruce came over to me " do you want to tell him," dad asked "tell him what" bucky was getting annoyed with the secrets, Nats face lit up she finally caught on and a smile was plastered on her face.
I played with the hem of my shirt "I think I'm pregnant" I told bucky. He froze "ok, let's draw some blood". Bruce got out the supplies, but Bucky still hasn't said anything and it was scaring me. After a few minutes, the results came back "congratulations, y/n. You're pregnant" bruce turned the screen so I could see.
Dad left the room to call mom and tell her, he was jumping up and down like a little kid "A LITTLE BARTON" he yelled out in the halfway, looks like he just told the rest of the team "bucky" I asked carefully, his face was blank, I couldn't read his emotions "do you not want it?" my vision started to blur.
He snapped out of his daze and pulled me into a hug "I'm gonna be a dad" I felt the smile on my shoulder. I melted into his arms after hearing the excitement in his voice, a few seconds later tony came bursting into the room "I'm going to be an uncle, j order everything you need for a baby, have it here by tomorrow" he was just as excited as we were. " tony you know we still have to wait like 8 months right" he pouted when he heard how long he was going to have to wait to spoil the little one.
"I know this isn't the right time and I don't want you to think in only doing this because of little Barnes but-" I turned to see bucky on one knee holding out a ring "I love you y/n, will you marry me" the flood gates open, can hormones even hit this hard already? I sware I heard the click of a camera "yes, bucky" was all I could whisper, he slipped the ring on my hand and pulled me into a hug "aww man, it's gonna be little Barnes now, I wanted little barton" dad pouted in the doorway "you moms on the way, shes mad you didn't tell her first"
